The Elder Scrolls : Arena really was unplayable when released, but it has had major revisions and is quite playable through DOSBox.
Daggerfall is fun as hell, and I have beaten it many times. Why couldn't we have horses to ride in Morrowind?! I got tired of that game because walking around and fighting grasshoppers really does not hold my interest.

Daggerfall was pretty god damn epic to me, it's one of the games that actually got me into RPG's as a whole. Morrowind is good, but I do agree on the flaw that it's gay that you don't get a horse, but I still think it's the best in the series, imo.

I thought this was already a free download. Maybe the sight I was going to was less than reputable. I bought this when it first came out. The size blew my mind, but there were enough bugs to prevent me from finishing it when I could figure where the quests would begin.
I loved waiting in the shops until they closed and then taking the entire inventory.

I've been fiddling with this and having a little bit of fun. Man, it's buggy as hell, and ugly too, but what do you want from 1996?
It's also a bit odd how sleeping in town gets you arrested, but running around naked is perfectly acceptable (and seeing actual boobs was a but surprising).

In Oblivion there is a task where you cast a spell and make everyone at a countesses dinner party take off their clothes. Of course, everyone keeps on their leather undies for the sake of the children... wait a sec. There are no children in Oblivion.
It all makes sense, the people of Cyrodiil don't understand how to procreate! They never take off their underwear, which leads to no children. I finally understand!

My favorite Oblivion moment is making it rain flaming dead dog bodies on the village of cat people. That was incredible.

The first 3 Elder Scrolls games were real hardasses about vagrency, hell, I was actually banished from Daggerfall the first time I played and decided to screw the storyline and just run around the jungle on the southern side of the map

I remember playing Daggerfall back in the day. Pretty fun when you could break in a house and get arrested or something.

That was what drew me in originally. I made a female character and went to change her armor, and saw bare boobs. I was like 0_o... This is the greatest game ever!
Of course I was a horny 17 year old at the time.
