I can't answer your question I'm afraid, but I have one of my own: how does the MtG video game work, in terms of getting cards? Do you select from a starter group of pre-selected choices, or what?

If it's like the PC version (I think it's based on a PC game) you can buy them in towns, but there are only 4 available at a time.
As for the starting deck, you choose your difficulty and primary color. The difficulty affects how many different colors you get, up to every color, which makes your deck a bitch to make.

Are you talking about making a deck in the game or in real life? If you want to make one in the game you're sol. in game all you can do is unlock new cards (17 per deck I believe) and choose what to add. If you want to make one in real life try talking with Dr. Jeebus.

Look into the Toys & Stuff thread then. If you're broke, it's generally not a good idea to try getting into CCGs.

Ignore all of this, the PC game he's referring to is ancient, outdated, and is not at all what the 360 game is based on.

In the Xbox Live version you select from a set of pre-made decks and you earn cards by winning games. You can swap cards in or out of the decks. You can't make a fully customized deck though but it is still a very faithful version of the card game.

So it's basically like playing the DS Yu-Gi-Oh games?
