I think this thing is pretty freaking cool and plan on getting one, I've been checking out a lot of rom hacks and I've never liked playing them on an emulator, with this I could play on my NES with the right controller. Cool

Anyone else interested in this thing? Confused

The image you had listed was giving me trouble, so here is another one:

Also tons of details about it and a place to purchase:

It seems overpriced to me and I would suggest going with an emulator and getting a controller to USB adapter. Your PC won't break, or at least you will update it over time, but your NES eventually will break and it isn't like they are easy to find now.

True true. I really like the idea of having all my games on one cart, and it is a bit pricey. Confused

So wait, we can play romhack on the NES now, sweet Cool

Although i have to agree with GP, it seems way too over priced for a novelty item, although i haven't read all of the description, but if it can be overwrite and hold shit loads of memory, then many NES fans might just get it.

Other than the cartridge case I don't see how this should cost much more than a R4/M3/etc.. (Which run about $25-$40) I think $60-$75 would be the max I would pay.

You are paying for the person who took the time to research and develop this. Most likely they don't have mass production setup so they can't push it out as fast as they would like to and lower the price. If enough people bought from them, they probably could improve their process like the R4/M3/etc... Wink

There is plenty of information out there about how to write and develop your own SNES cartridges, however it doesn't look like anyone has made software and hardware with it that allow flash memory to replace the standard ROM kit.
