Ooh, Archer is one of the many reasons why I hated Enterprise. He was boring and incompetent; perhaps that's more of an indictment on Bakula's poor acting in the series, though.

Wow, that's just shocking to me. TOS is very hit or miss, but their hits are oustanding, while almost every episode of Enterprise was a boring retread of previous Trek episodes.

I actually understand where you're coming from. I totally get why people don't like Enterprise, and I'm honestly one of the few people I know who genuinely love that series (and the character of Archer.) But, what can I say...viva la difference? *shrug*

I started watching MST3K when Mike was a host, and hadn't even seen a Joel MST3K until after I had been watching for a few years. However, I think my favorite episode ever of MST3K was "Manos: The Hands of Fate" with Joel.

It all comes down to preference. Each host brought something different to the table, and neither host was exceptionally better than the other, acting-wise. Therefore, it comes down to who you identify with more.

I prefer Mike, too, but Joel was a very good host as well. His invention exchanges with Dr. Forrester were great stuff.

6. PC vs. Mac - They are both the same damn hardware now so the debate should be over. If this is Microsoft Windows vs Apple OS X, then OS X wins for simplicity and Windows wins for capability.

10.Depends on the anime. Action anime need dubs, and more talky ones need subs. You lose a lot of details on a dub, but I don't have time to read when people are throwing falcon punches.

8.I would probably have to give this to a terminator. Robocop doesn't have the armament to kill one, while a good terminator can adapt a bit better.
7.Unicron is too fast to get taken out by the death star.
6.PC, because I don't need a computer as a defining feature. PC is neutral.

4.SNES without a doubt. The contribution of the genesis to modern gaming is limited. Its franchises are mostly dead, and not having the SNES deprives one of key RPGs like FF4, FF6, Illusion of Gaia and the Lufia series.
3.Alien versus Predator. I don't know, they're very disparate to me. I can see a Predator hunting an alien, but theres room in scifi for both.
2.TRUKK versus MUNKEY. Having the transformers set in the ancient past allowed the series to dispense with the kid sidekick, which puts it over in my mind.
1.Picard versus Not Picard. Picard is a leader. He can delegate, he can reason and negotiate and think strategically. Not Picard is a fat thug, who is a leader by way of bulling his way on issues and the writers rewarding him for that.

8. I like Terminator, but I'll side with Robocap on this one.

6. PC. Last time I used a Mac, I was in junior high.
5. Not into He-Man.

3. I like both but I'll give it to Predator. Aliens can't go invisible and do surprise backstab kills.
2. MUNKEY > TRUKK. G1 Transformers cartoon is so cheesy it'd kill a man. For toys, G1.
1. I was more a fan of later Star Trek shows. You may stone me now.

5) Joel or Mike? Joel, i think his delivery is better. Having said that the point is a bit moot as Mike was the head writer during the joel era and both mens after projects are excellent. But i still like joel better
4) Do Balrogs have wings?- why does it matter?
3) The Book Vs. the Movie - This a tough one, ideally a movie adaptation would pay proper homage to it's source material and inspires people to read the original but if the movie is so outlandish and far off from the material it will confuse people so I guess the book then./

10. Probably Sub. With dub, if the acting sucks, it becomes a distraction. And anyway, I always turn the subtitles on when I'm watching a movie, regardless of the language they're speaking.

What about Replicant Deckard VS Human Deckard in Blade Runner (he's supposed to be human, by the way).
