Meg gets shit on cause the writers can't write for a teenage girl.
Well, they can't manage what they consider to be writing for a teenage girl.

I always feel like calling up child services after I watch any scene with Peter and Meg.

Only the one they had for her in the first few shows I think. All I know is there're a small number of episodes where her voice is, I dunno, slightly deeper or less nasal.

Seems like they are able to deal with the girl in American Dad... it is just a different type of humor.

Hailey is a college student, and also that show has a different dynamic. Since Stan has a well-defined set of morals that he is very defensive about, Hailey is able to rebel against him. Peter, on the other hand, is a complete fucking idiot who often has trouble dressing himself. Peter is also largely amoral. It's hard to rebel against someone's values when they don't have any.

I can't find the clip, but I love the sequence when Peter admits to not being too nice to her in the past and there's a montage of him being mean to her ending with her walking into the living room and saying "Hi Dad" and Peter pulling out a pistol and shooting her without even looking up

It was a terrible episode, but I like the scenes in the Fox News episode where Meg will make a suggestion for Peter and Chris's stupid cartoon and then Peter and Chris go into the next room and whisper about how she "doesn't get it".

I also like right at the end of the Stewie Griffin Story, when she's sitting on the bench I think, and goes "You know, I always liked that name, Ron." Kinda ties up all the loose ends huh.

Yeah, that's one of the changes to the show after the reboot that has made me dislike the show so much. I remember when she used to be a member of the family instead of an object of hatred....
