I've been watching this on youtube lately and it surprisingly has had some adult themes. (steroids, harrassment, the end of the world) I guess being 5 or 6 years old watching this I probably didn't get many of the jokes.
I miss TGIF, when fridays were worth staying in for.
Edit:Also, the most depressing series finale ever.

I remember being freaked out as a kid about the episode where Baby Sinclair acts possessed because of some bad bacteria, mimicking the Exorcist, specifically the part where he utters a demonic "Not da mama" and does a 360 headspin.

I loved this show, but that part freaked me out as well. Still, I have a lot of good memories watching this.

Wow, I never thought such a hilarious show had such a flattening sad ending.

God that ending is sad. But you know what, I like it. I like the environmental message they worked in, unsubtle though it was, and I liked that they're going to take care of each other as long as they can in spite of circumstances. Tear jerker yes, but poignant, and not what you'd expect from a comedy show. Damn good writers, they had.
The twp eps that stick out in my mind really strongly are the one where Grandma wants to be thrown off a cliff (it was an old Dinosaur ritual for old people, I think), and the one where Robby challenged Earl for Head of Household and won.

I wonder if that finale was well received. No matter what, those writers had some guts to do that.

Apparently they actually put on a disclaimer prior to the finale, warning it might upset young children.
All I can find on the possession episode is that it was called Germ Warfare.

I don't know. Oddly enough, it never occurred to me that it might piss people off, but I can see where it would. Good for the writers for going for something other than easy laughs for their series send off, though.

Heavy handed pro-environmentalism in the 90's? No! You don't say.

I did not care for the show either, and that baby dinosaur was creepy and annoying.
