Well it was only a matter of time before it happened, and now there is no turning back.

Adult applications are now allowed to be sold through Apple's App Store. It looks like only softcore stuff to start, but we all know that boobs lead to other things.

Personally I don't see this as a bad thing, it was coming one way or another, at least now the App Store can act as a filter to assure people that the content of the programs is not malicious.

Still I fear that some people will not know the boundaries of adult mobile content. The last thing I want to ever have to deal with is listening to some guy's heavy breathing in the stall next to me when I have to take a crap at work. Equally bad will be public transportation situations. Hey perv... not on the train you sick fuck.

Yeah, I don't understand the whole "mobile porn" thing in general. I don't watch porn to watch porn, I watch it to get my rocks off.

That's what I would think. Watching it in public rather defeats the purpose. Although I suppose if you were desperate you could sneak into the bathroom or something, but still...not my idea of conditions that equate to feeling horny. Oh well.

It doesn't really bother me that they sell it though. I mean really, its no worse than having Playboy or whatever on a newsstand *shrug*. Although, I do kind of hope there's a least SOME attempt, however easily avoided it may be, to keep 17+ apps out of the hands of little kids. (Even said newsstands tend to hide their Playboy covers.) Anyone know if such a safety measure is in place?

Don't you pay for the Apps with a credit card? It would force a responsible party to be on someone 18+ who is paying the bill.

I just deleted the next part of my comment since it would have been considered too vulgar by the mods. It addressed how disgusting people who masturbate in public restrooms are. Very.

Does this mean that that iBoobs thing might come out all officially, now?

I would imagine that they would have to reconsider it if the developer resubmitted it.

It may or may not be true... at this point no one is really sure what the hell is going on.

Does your credit card statement actually say what you bought, though? Or is it just some discreet company name?

Generally mine will just show the company name and the amount charged.

The credit card would show that you bought something from Apple I think. It depends on how they want it to show on your statement.

Actually... do you buy things with cash or points in their system? If it is a point system then you would only show that you bought the points.

I don't have an iPhone/iPod so I couldn't tell you.
