Hello, guys. I decided to make a thread to list TV and Movie stars that eventually became voice actors for cartoons and video games. I'll start this thread off with a few:

Mark Hamill
Macaulay Culkin
Dwight Schultz

I don't remember hearing about the other two however I remember Mark Hamil played a fairy in Wizards. He also played the Joker on the Batman cartoon I used to watch...I think. What characters have been voiced Macaulay Culkin?

Well, Macaulay Culkin did a few voice overs in Robot Chicken.

Hm, maybe I spoke too soon about him. Confused

Really? I never really noticed his voice but I'll have to look into it now.

Well, he didn't do too much voice acting yet. I bet he'll eventually do more, though.

As for Dwight Schultz, he did a lot more voice acting. He did Harman Smith in killer7 and Mung Daal in Chowder.

!? What? Wow! That's crazy! Who would've thought the same guy who voiced Harman also voiced Mung? That is actually pretty cool. Very Happy

That's a a lot cameos! I know many of those shows. I'll have to keep my eye open for the next time one of the episodes he was on airs. The things you find out about people. Wow...Mung as Harman. It's still hard to imagine and yet it's also kind of bad ass.

I know man, Dwight is the shit. Not only was he H.M. Murdock, he's also in *every single video game ever, since they started putting voices in!*

Okay not really, but seriously--every video game I own has at least once character voiced by him, and quite a few have more than one. (FF X for example--O'aka and the old guy whose name I forget, who gives you tidbits about Spira's history. "And that, as they say, is that.") It's bad...I watched (okay, DO watch) enough A-Team to almost always pick out his voice even when he's doing weird things with it. It's like my own personal easter egg. (Now if only Dirk Benedict would get off his beautiful butt and start acting again...)

Mark Hamil was awesome as Joker, but I was never aware of anything else big he did voicewise.

He got shot through the stomach with a rifle on Wizards. Not really the most important thing in the world but my jaw nearly dropped when I realized that Hamil was voicing him. Oh! Hamil also did the voice of a main antagonist on one of Miyazaki's films. He did a really good job. Smile

This stuff is pretty interesting when you look into it. I haven't in a awhile though. It's relatively easy to impress me anyway.

Fire Lord/Phoenix King Ozai on Avatar: the Last Airbender.

In a related note I'm also mentioning Mako. He was in The Sand Pebbles as well as some of the Conan movies (he played the monk) and went on to do Aku (Samurai Jack) and Uncle Iroh (A:tLA) among others.

Patrick Stewart
Seth Green
Alex Borstein
Katey Sagal

And who could ever forget Vincent Price as "Vincent Van Ghoul" on The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo?

I sure wish I could.

James Avery(AKA: Uncle Phil), he voiced the Shredder in the early 90's TMNT cartoon, that blew my mind.

Wow now that you say that I totally hear it now! Wart from Wonder Years does ass tons of voice work. The one voice that sticks out is the Main Hero in Dark Cloud 2. I think he was the main hero in Tales of Symphonia too.

I never realized how memorable Patrick Dempsey's voice is until I heard it in a LIFE commercial. Not really a voice-over per se, but still. Grand Theft Auto has had some of the best voice actors ever. Off hand:

Samuel L. Jackson
Ray Liotta
Peter Fonda
Dennis Hopper
Bill Fitchner
Micheal Madsen
Gary Busey
Phil Collins
Danny Trejo
Luis Guzman
Ice T
Chris Penn
The Game
James Woods
David Cross
Frank Vincent
Joe Pantoliano
Micheal Rappaport
Tom Sizemore
Burt Reynolds
Jenna Jameson
Philip Michael Thomas
Fairuza Balk
Lawrence Taylor
Debbie Harry

The list goes on. It's intense.
