Too much faux indie rock.

Oh look, there's a mystery track by Queen & David Bowie. GEE, I WONDER WHAT THE FUCK IT COULD POSSIBLY BE.

This looks pretty shitastic. GH3 was the pinnacle of GH games. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better track listing. World Tour was passable, but not as good. This looks to be even worse World Tour. The Screaming Trees? Coldplay? Kings of Leon? Kaiser Chiefs? The fucking DYLAN version of "Watchtower"? Gaaaaaaaaaaay.

Aren't they at the point yet where they should just give you 50 credits to DL songs you like from an online catalog and then charge for more?

I thought GH 2 had the best setlist. Of course my sister broke my copy. World Tour is decent, but yeah, too many tracks I don't play ever. I'm most excited for GH: Van Halen though. Cool

Rush, Motley Crue, David Bowie, Rammstein, and Bon Jovi are the only people I like on there. Agreed with alot of the topic, GH's setlists went downhill from GHIII. The only thing that would make me buy this over GH: Van Halen would be if David Bowie was a playable character.

I have to say, I don't like the looks of this set list at all, even at this unfinished stage. The songs we currently know don't interest me at all, and I only see a handful of band names that I like on the rest of the list... Whether they pick songs I like from those bands remains to be seen. This may well be the first Guitar Hero game I don't purchase.

I'm not really a fan of Guitar Hero however I like that they have Thin Lizzy on the list (I don't know if they have had them on the list in previous installments however I really like Thin Lizzy's stuff.)

Ah, that's good. I've never really played Guitar Hero before but it's good that they have some decent music here and there.

I really wish Activision would release these songs as DLC for World Tour instead of releasing ten new games a year (okay, that was a slight exaggeration but still). If they did that, you could buy just the songs you actually give a crap about... OR all of them if you felt like it. I have no interest whatsoever in paying 50 euros for the songs from the few artists on there that I like (Johnny Cash, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Iron Maiden, KISS and some others).

But no, let's put them on the disc and sell them as a new Guitar Hero game, because people will buy it anyway. And while we're at it, let's not make it compatible with GH World Tour, Smash Hits, Metallica or the upcoming Van Halen either (I just know you won't be able to import any songs from those games into GH5).

It's amazing how many of life's problems are solved by indiscriminate cannon fire.

This list looks horrible. There are a couple good songs but I already have them in Rock Band as DLC such as 2 Minutes To Midnight.

Yeah, I think 'Under Pressure' is more for the bass and vocal careers than anything.

Not the strongest list I suppose, but I can only hope the Rammstein song is Du Hast.

It doesn't really have a great, or really fun to play bass line, its simply iconic and recognizable.

Its very fucking repetitive actually.

I really hope that the Rammstein song isn't "Du Hast", even though it's unlikely that it won't be. Maybe if we're lucky it'll be something like "Zerstoren" or "Links 2 3 4". Heck, I can think of a slew of songs that would be better choices than "Du Hast". Mind you, I don't dislike "Du Hast", I just think it's too repetitive for the likes of Guitar Hero.

I'm glad to see "Judith", "Wolf Like Me", "Blue Orchid" (definitely a good choice for a White Stripes song), and "A-Punk", and I'll also look forward to seeing what Smashing Pumpkins, Muse, No Doubt, and David Bowie songs will end up making the cut.

"Under Pressure?" Really? Of all the Queen OR David Bowie songs to choose from their respective catalogs, they chose that?

This is why I see more and more people with Rock Band instead. You can actually download a whole group of artists songs that you want rather then being shoveled pure shit.

To be honest, I liked the GH series better back in the day before the Rock Band series came to the scene to upstage the other. Nowadays, no one gives a shit about the guitar parts anymore and instead mostly just pick songs that have a little bit of everything else and very boring guitar parts. But before that, we had GHIII and the other ones before that actually had songs that I'd listen to in real life with badass guitar solos and the whole shibang, not that stupid shit they have with the newer ones like like Weezer and Coldshit or whatever that hardly offer anything in the terms of guitar solos or memorable lyrics.
Also, we need more Megadeth songs in the GH games. All we ever got was "Symphony Of Destruction" from GHII, and I'd love to play others from them like "Psychotron" or "Skin O' My Teeth". That would kick ass.
