Hawk, my ex used to drive a Tacoma. She used to go on and on in a very conceited way about how she was such a country girl and she drove a truck yadda-yadda. All I could say was 'um...you drive a Toyota.'

I consider myself country too. I bought it while I was living/working on a ranch and have hauled everything from hay bales to horse crap to towing an actual livestock trailer when we had to evacuate cause of the fires in '07. I know Ford has a tough, blue collar image and all, and I do love to buy American when I can. And all I'll say is, when Ford puts out a truck as reliable as the Tacoma (or Tundra for that matter--I would have bought one of those, but I couldn't see over the steering wheel very well

), and with equal value for the money, I'll be first in line. Til then, I stick with Willem.
People who go on and on about their trucks are such asses. Really, your friend should get a life.
