Codes are fun, and a few I can remember off the top of my head are:
DOOM - idkfa, iddqd
Quake 1 - impulse 9
Duke Nukem 3D - dnkroz, dnstuff
I think those are right, but I have dial-up and don't feel like looking this shit up.
Codes are fun.

"glittering prizes" and eventually "it is a good day to die" from WarCraft 2. No matter how hard I tried, I would get my ass kicked at the end of that game.

I know an infinite lives cheat sounds pretty boring, but I have become dependent on it when it comes to playing Contra.

The multi-jump game genie code for SMB3 is pretty cool, as well as the one that lets you pick up any tile in the game (including pieces of pipes and such) - the tiles turn into those little carry blocks..

I liked messing around with the Game Genie and seeing what I could make happen. Only had one successful adjustment that came in SMB3. I wrote it down in my old Game Genie book, but that is lost to the ether now

My favorite I can think of now is honestly the old fall-behind-the-scenery from SMB 3. God that was fun. Corney but fun.

The Super Bomb bug in Link to the past.
In the world of darkness, when you receive the super bomb, go to the fat fairy wall and drop the bomb, as the bomb explodes continue hitting themenu button as fast as you can. It might take a couple of tries but if it works all of the enemies sprites will be mismatched and enemy projectiles will are replaced with various body parts of other sprites. The bug also creates collision problems allowing access to rooms not available by normal means (specifically in the light world castle basement if I recall correctly).

^ there's something similar to this without a bomb, people have beaten LttP in like 7 minutes or something. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
