That kid didn't even look like the actor for one (unless that's just a terrible picture of him.) And it would have been way cooler if it were an actual phone booth they buried him in instead of just a coffin fairly poorly spray painted blue.

It wasn't a phone booth, it was a police box which is totally different.

A police box is basically a small police station, complete with a phone and other shit like that for use by policemen.

If he'd have regenerated, he's still buried under two feet of dirt. Very Kill Bill-like, he would have to punch his way through.
