I'm looking for some good ROM hacking utilities (completely legal) for the following games. Any help would be appreciated.

The list:

Super Mario Bros. for NES
SMB3 for NES (I have SMB3 workshop, and it's OK, but I'm looking for more if possible)

Legend of Zelda (NES)
Zelda: Link to the Past (SNES)

Metroid (NES)
Super Metroid (SNES)

I use and am totally happy with Lunar Magic for Super Mario World. That is the most excellent level editor/ROM Hacking utility I have ever come across.

I tried googling for info, and that's how I found SMB3 workshop, but couldn't find much else.

I saw that. Honestly I was looking for specific recommendations based on experience, as opposed to just a list of all available tools to wade through (there is a much more comprehensive list at romhacking.net, by the way).
