Apparently Donkey Kong is in this thing, face him in Last Stand and you can fight him in Exhibition.
To knock off King Hippo's crown, perform a hook the moment he flashes when he backs up to deal his double-fisted slam move. With his crown removed, repeat the same manuver once more for an instant Knock-Out!

You know, this pisses me off, and I wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't said something.
Nintendo needs to get some balls again. Remember the King Kong debacle? Universal sued Nintendo, claiming that Donkey Kong was a rip-off of King Kong. AND UNIVERSAL FUCKING LOST.
Nintendo created a giant, building-climbing monkey called Kong, and somehow they were to successfully prove in court that he didn't infringe upon the famous movie monster.
Nearly 30 years later, and Nintendo is suddenly worried that a car company might sue them over a character's last name? Spineless, dickless cowards.

Well, we're talking about a company that pulled out a trophy from Melee, because it was a "Devil".

I'm glad my TV sucks because it still looks like it says Piston Honda to me.

Universal, however, had no case. King Kong is public domain. Something Universal itself had proven in a past case. A blind retarded monkey could have won that case. It took balls to stand up to them, but that's all.
It was a different situation, as well. Nintendo was literally fighting for it's life then. It had to fight.
Plus, you remember one situation. When Atari demanded Nintendo do something about Donkey Kong for the Coleco ADAM, Nintendo backed down, despite their probably being in the right (Atari had the computer rights, they claimed ADAM was a computer.)
And while nobody knows if there was a legal threat involved, remember in this case if there was, it'd be done in Japanese court (both Nintendo and Honda are Japanese companies). The rules could be entirely different over there (in the US, though, probably fair use).

Honda is still in Street Fighter 4, isn't he. Why is Capcom keeping their character's name and Nintendo changing it?

Maybe because he is just E. Honda and not Piston Honda Piston being a part of an engine.

I don't think that is the case though, or they would just call him P. Honda, Piston H., or just Honda. And If Capcom sued Nintendo because E. Honda and P. Honda are similar they certainly wouldn't have a leg to stand on since Nintendo's character was created first. I think Nintendo is overreacting. I am making assumptions here, but I would think Nintendo is more powerful financially than Capcom to deal with potential lawsuits.

Like I said earlier...I'm glad I have a crappy TV because in small print the "o" in Hondo looks like an "a."

Honda is a very common Japanese last name. You can't keep people from calling their video game characters "Honda".
However, "Honda" in association with an engine can be a trademark violation.
A quick change to avoid a possible legal entanglement is a smart move.
Anyone who disagrees, be honest: When you first saw "Piston Honda", you thought of a car. Right?

When I was 7? Absolutely not. I just thought it was a goofy name like Soda Popinski or King Hippo.
Furthermore, E. Honda is associated with cars as well; he's the best guy for smashing the one in the classic SF2 minigame.

Me too, I was seven or eight and I didn't really get the joke of the name. I always did the SF2 car smash with Blanka and his electric shock move.

No, I thought of a piston. |
Same, then I went and pestered my mom for 3 days about what a piston was.

Doc Louis makes a comment at one point about how Honda is "overheating" and needs to "sent to the scrap heap". Another time, he calls him a "lemon". So I guess I can see Honda possibly taking offense to that and understand Nintendo wanting to cover their bases. At the same time though, they could have just changed the comments. I mean, Piston Honda doesn't look like a car mechanic or anything. He looks like a damn sushi chef.
In other news, I got my ass kicked so many times in Title Defense mode that the WVBA commissioner gave me a special gift: protective headgear that lessens the damage I take. Not really an accomplishment I should be bragging about, but it's helped me out considerably.

Yeah, after losing 100 times, the game takes pity on you and gives you headgear. I haven't seen something like that since the days of Crash Bandicoot when you lose so many times they give you the Tiki Man (who was he, Aku Aku or something?)

There have been some newer games that do something like that. In both the Ninja Gaiden and God of War series, you unlock the easiest difficulty level by dying enough times.

Really? I might actually play Ninja Gaiden now... does the game block achievements for playing on the Easy mode?

I just started Title Defense today, I really need to work on my timing if I'm having issues with Glass Joe. Then again, I was hanging out with a friend, and we played through the contender levels in one sitting, with 2 losses (Damn you Super Macho Man and Mr. Sandman!) so I was a bit burnt out

Yeah, TD Glass Joe's delayed punches really piss me off. I had more trouble with him than TD Von Kaiser, Disco Kid, or King Hippo.

Break the tape. To break the first layer, punch him when he signals, then immediately punch him on the stomach on the same side you punched him in the face on. Second layer, punch him again when he's open, and he'll put a hand up to his head. While his hand is up there, quickly punch him the stomach on the side that's unguarded. I forget what you do for the third time. But basically, look for times when one ot both of his hands are awat from his stomach and he's not directly facing you.
