I would think that one needs to sit at the focal point or closer for that to be effective. If one sat further away than that I think that the distortion would actually take away from the gaming or television viewing experience. I also think the same would be true for anybody else watching that is not directly in front it.
Edit: I initially thought it to be a television, but I guess since it is a PC monitor most people would be in that range. My bad. That probably would be enjoyable.

Call of Duty, or any other very immersive first person experience (i.e, Mirror's Edge) would be unbelievable.
Imagine playing Half-Life 2 or Left 4 Dead on that screen. That would be mighty impressive.

If I got to play on that, I'd die because all my blood would go right to my dick and my eyeballs. That TV should be labelled a potential health hazard due to sheer awesomeness.

The PC Alien VS Predator games would be scary as hell on that screen.
