My 360 kicked the bucket just now, (Red Ring) a week after I got it. Microsoft can go collectively fuck itself. I would have bought a PS3, but I can't afford the 400 dollar price tag. And cause my sister won't let me use a Wii (There are only something like 4 good games on the system anyway) and I refuse to buy another shitty system on principle, I am fucked. I have about 10 xbox games and nothing to do with them, I have no money to pay for any kind of new console, games, or repairs, and I have a broken ShitBox. What should I do?

Was it used or did you buy it new? I think that they allow you to return it for full repairs free of charge if you bought it new. Then again I try and stay away from next-gen systems. Until they start building up game libraries worth looking into then I'm not moving up. Besides, I've still got a whole list of games for the PS2 that I want. If I get the dough I think I just might buy a backup just in case.
Good luck, I hope you find a way to get it fixed.

Did you buy it from a retail store, like Gameshit, or from a private buyer?

Now....why won't your sister let you play a Wii?? Also there are way more than 4 good titles for Wii
You just have to know what to look for and how to dig through the shovelware.

That seems to happen to everyone. Radial scratches, the red ring of death, it's a pretty accident-prone console. But Ermac is right, just call them and they should be able to do something about it.

So, I finally got some money to fix my 360, but I don't have a credit card. Does anyone know if you absolutely have to use a credit card or if you can send a check or something? Or pay with paypal?

Retail store, though not Gameshit. It's a local place, if that makes any difference.

My sister thinks she owns the Wii because she chipped in about 20 bucks for it, and I covered nothing. And I'll grant there's more than four. But considering I only play singleplayer currently, name 8. That's how many I had on the 360.

It makes a difference because if you bought it from an actual retail establishment, this means it's been certified as working. Now, had you bought it from some yokel, Microsoft would most likely say that he broke it and then sold it to you.

No it's not it overcharges and underpays. And anytime a better store with fairer values comes along game stop will buy them and institute it's policies.

See, I don't trade games into Gamestop, but from my personal experience, all the best buy employees either A) Look at me like I'm stealing shit B) Think I know jack shit about games or C) Are pushing expensive games on me when I know I can goto another Store and get it cheaper ($60 bucks for Kane and Lynch for PS3 when I could get it at Target for 30) I goto Gamestop personally because I know half the people that work there, I'm only getting fucked it I trade shit in and The game quality is still good regardless.
Onto your X-Box Issue, Simple do what everyone above me has posted. Simply put, Microsoft will fix it Blah Blah Blah. They've come to realize this issue and can fix it.
Now on to the comment about Wii only having four good games... I would have Said "Fuck you" but that's flaming. The system has potential, it has alot of good games, your sister pry just bought the games that are cutesy with no gaming value. And always remember, if you are older then her, just lock her in the closet for a few hours.

UPDATE: I brought the system to the place I bought it from and found out it wasn't a red ring, it was Error E-68, meaning the hard drive fucked itself over and had to be replaced. They gave me another hard drive (I love that store), but I still lost all my saves. So that sucks.
And at Slayer, I would like to reply to your sly little fuck you. I granted in another post that the Wii has 8 good games, and still have yet to see any proof of these 8. Also, we have a little thing called a parent at my house. So if I could get away with locking my sister in the closet, I would.

Well yes but my point was that it isn't a GOOD store as he said, and as for your problem does your bank issue check cards?

K well find that out because most places that take credit cards also take check cards so you won't have to pay interest.

Kinda off topic, but all the GS griping is always funny, like buyback rates are specifically designed to fuck over each individual person. You're allowed to decline the price they give you, you know.
I'm interested to see what happens to GS when digital distro becomes the norm for games, though.

I would bring it back to the store if it broke that quickly. Also some stores are MUCH better with returns. Best Buy is usually very good if you can hold your composure.

The gamestop in my town is pretty fair with it's priceing both ways. The gave my 45 dollars for my fat psp and then sold me the devil may cry trilogy for $20 and when I went back a few weeks later they sold me mirrors edge for 26 plus tax. The only thing I hate is that they won't buy games from people under 18X

Still you got lucky, in the future spend the money to get a warranty on something like an XBox that is known to have components fail

The one good thing about GameStop is that they bring in pretty much every game. You won't find Guilty Gear at Best Buy or Target, but you can usually count on GameStop to have it.

plus almost every Atlus Game until they aren't sold anymore. DAMN YOU PERSONA 4.
And Hyde, I guess it's a valid point to say that everyone has their own opinion. I think I'd get the Wii for both the Nintendo games that they make themselves which are good, and the rail shooters like Ghost Squad and House of the Dead games. Plus the system provides more possibilities then some of the other consoles, I just like my PS3 now because of the quality and games that I kind of expect to see. (I'll play my FPS on PC or PS3 but not on a Wii)
