The same could be said for me, but I honestly can't count a two year period without posting truly being here. I did manage to read the articles despite lacking the internet thanks largely in part to the local library.

I don't really consider myself a "vet" as I don't really post too much, and sometimes I think my posts lack quality. However, I'll be damned if there's anyone that doesn't consider me a regular around here.

I'm not sure if I'd trust the life of my precious little Mr. Fluffy to the hands of a Sydlexian Vet. Confused

I don't really know what to say to that. I guess I'll just agree with Hawk?

Nah, I couldn't do that.

As far as I'm concerned, she's a walking and ticking sexual harassment suit time bomb. I mean, I know she was the only girl on the forums at the time (for the most part, I think) and there's going to be some harassment, but she would often bring up sex in this thread or that, and then get mad at others for continuing what she started.

Seems to be a pretty accurate summary.

That's not a sexual harassment suit waiting to happen, that's being a whore. I won't pass judgement since I didn't really know her personally, but the behavior described = whore. And I frigging hate people like that; they make it a lot harder to deal with guys.

It is a harsh truth. Granted, I wasn't here for her whole more active tenure, but that's what I saw at the tail end of it. Don't do something if you don't like being called out on it. If you're not comfortable with yourself then you need to take a step back and apply introspection and make an attempt at objective reasoning about your behavior.

Hi. Token female. Nice to meet you. Cheers! As for what brought me here, it was something along the lines of "Erin Esurance hot nude porn hentai tentacle rape." I didn't get what I was looking for, but this site was a decent find. Oh well.

Okay okay This Is A Joke The real answer to your question is that I was searching "NES quotes" I think. I don't remember the exact search, but I remember that the 50 NES Quotes article was the first thing here I ever read. Love at first site after that of course. Very Happy

And okay, maybe the whore thing was a tad harsh, but I'm probably quite a bit more intolerant of that sort of behavior than you guys, because it gives girls who hang out on boards like this a bad name. People like her come around, and then the next girl that shows up has to work that much harder to get respect. That wasn't an issue here fortunately (at least not to my knowledge *shifty*), but it has been on other gaming/wrestling/sports boards I've visited, on occasion bad enough to just make it not worth my time to go back. If you're going to be judged before you even open your mouth, its really not worth the effort. (Okay, maybe it is IRL, but not on an internet message board.) That, and frankly I have a deep loathing for hypocrites who demand a certain kind of treatment for themselves, and then refuse to extend it to others. Pet effing peeve.

Most women aren't interested in this site because it is geared more towards a geek male audience but there is plenty of room for female members/opinions as well. My gf likes the NES, but she wouldnt find any interest in seeing a top 100 games of all time like I would.

Aika had a dad that played the SNES obessively, so she got her training wheels in geekdom from him, she was exposed to it at an early age so she didn't see us in the total geek light we normally would be in.

Wait wait wait. We're...geeks? Wha? What? WHAT?? WHAT THE FUCK??? Evil

Okay, true story: last night, I was driving in my truck to go pick up some fast food. I was listening to my favorite 8-bit songs (Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc etc etc). I was wearing an "8-bit theatre" tee shirt and ripped blue jeans that had Jack in the Box secret sauce all over them by the time I got home. I then took my food into my room, and continued watching Usa's Final Fantasy playthrough.

It was at that point I realized, "holy shit. I have officially become a parody of myself." Laughing

I was a geek not that long ago, the only thing I did was play video games, I quit them, got myself a couple girlfriends and pretty much improved my life 1000%. I like people here, they don't seem like geeks to me, especially Ross Rifle, I like him.
