Physical Education is my main gripe. It may depend on the person in charge but my PE classes in middle school and high school were a joke. We maybe had one day out of the entire quarter/semester where we actually had to work out. That was running a mile around a track. We were timed but it was still a joke because we were told to jog as well. Other than that we had to warm up by doing whatever stretches we wanted. Bad idea because letting students choose is always a bad idea as far as education goes. Some students care but the majority want to do nothing.

My next gripe is that people that don't want to learn need to get the fuck out right quick. The teachers and myself don't have the time to try to help you when you just don't want to learn. I couldn't stand a class with a douchebag student always cracking bad jokes and not even trying to attempt to listen to the lesson. If you don't want to learn anything at least shut up so I can.

Food is another issue. There does need to be some healthy food in the school cafeteria. In middle school we had a salad bar, but they had pepperoni in the salad bar. Many salad bars do offer pepperoni but kids would load up on it. The school tried to limit it to 20 slices of pepperoni. 20 slices!? Are you kidding me!? There were probably less than 20 slices on an average delivery pizza back in that time(1994/1995), probably less now. Shit...there is maybe only 10 slices on the frozen pizzas that we have these days. I still think the salad bar is a great idea...just drop the pepperoni and it would be a great choice for schools, especially in this day and age where there are many more vegetarians and vegans. The salad bar is a great option for everyone.

I also think schools need to loose soda machines, We had soda machines in my school. I'd get the Diet Pepsi...short story...my parents always had diet soda around the house when I was growing up, so I'm used to it. Anyway kids get enough sugar, and/or high fructose corn syrup normally...do they really need it in school? I can understand kids needing/wanting it if they had an after school activity or job. But do they need it between classes? Probably not, however:

If you went to school and had an after school job/lame ass curriculum imposed internship you might need a boost. Enter Red Bull. This was 1999. Did Red Bull help me...probably not. The only thing I learned from my internship at the local internet company was that their unlimited plan was actually quite limited.
