I remember King Hippo being a pushover, what's the new move that he does? Is it some kind of barrage like Great Tiger did?

| Hell, Nintendo dropped him for less than that. Their original licensing deal with him expired shortly after he lost the title to Buster Douglas. The match took place in Tokyo, so it was especially irritating to Nintendo when Tyson lost the title in a huge upset. The proud Japanese businessmen who ran Nintendo at the time were so dishonored by Tyson's loss, they refused to renew his licensing deal. And so, Punch-Out featuring Mr. Dream was born. |
they also did that with Buster Douglas, Evander Holyfield, George Foreman. After VG companies realized that champions come and go they started making titles like "Greatest Heavyweights", "Fight Night".
there was also a Mike Tyson game for the XBox I didn't know about, I wonder if it was any good.

Any one else tried Title Defense mode yet after you beat it? That mode is brutal! It's still fun, but wow! I lost to Glass Joe in that mode! This is from some one who beat this version without to to much trouble and can blow through the NES one. I'm currently stuck at Soda Popinski in that mode, just a couple mistakes with him and he'll break your face, he turns crazy strong!

Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing is a mash-fest, and broken as hell, it's nothing special.

Hopefully I'll have this game tomorrow from Gamefly. I can't wait to play it.

The challenges fucking infuriate me.
I can knock Von Kaiser down in 5 punches, but I can't fucking KO him. I always get either an 8 or a 9 count!
I can't fucking figure out how to knock King Hippo's crown off. I've hit him with 3 Star punches from pretty much every angle, and no luck.

Why is Mr. Sandman the world champion? It doesn't make much sense to me, since Macho was the champ above him twice. I guess it's just weird seeing Sandman as the final guy, when I'm used to Tyson, Macho, or Nick Bruiser.(Sadly, I believe all three of those guys are cooler than Sandman.)

This game is amazing! I love the controls. They are very easy to get used to and you can play with the remote classic NES style too. I also like the balance board support for dodging and ducking.
I got the game for $29 from Gamefly because I had a $10 coupon and I also get 10% off of games I rent and then buy.

You need to dodge and hit him in the head, just like anyone else. He's the first bpxer who you really need to beat with skill alone, there is no trick, and his timing is wonky. He also has the punch with the shortest telegraph outside of Tyson (his right jab), but he rarely uses it.
Also, I don't have a Wii, but Piston Hondo? Did they get a cease and desist?

No, just Nintendo being stupid again. Hell, there's an E.Honda in Street Fighter.

Do you know this for a fact?
While Honda is a common Japanese name, calling one of your characters "Piston Honda" when there's a Honda engine company across town can certainly earn you a phone call.

No, I'm in Title Defense mode. He fucking cheats! He's got headgear on to protect his glass jaw.
Also, I have one major gripe with the game. Apparently, you can only play through Career Mode and Title Defense mode ONCE. If you want to do it again, you have to start a new file.

No wonder, he cheated.
Yes, but there's also a Piston Hurricane, and Piston in general can be a nickname for being able to throw fast jabs, which is what Honda did.

Hurricane is not the name of a multinational engine and automobile manufacturer.
I really do wonder now.

Mr. Sandman seems like he was repackaged as a replacement Mike Tyson.

It's a double-fisted punch that comes at you from both sides, just remember to Duck and you'll do fine against it.

But how do I knock his damn crown off!?
And how do I knock Don Flamenco's toupee off in the first round? No matter how hard I beat the shit out of him, it won't come off. It always ends up coming off with the first punch of the second round.
