Not that I'm endorsing culture jamming or anything. But it seems to me that the people saying that someone should do their culture jamming in broad daylight are not actually going to do anything at all, and in fact are just saying to not do anything. If your going to fuck with society, then doing it in the view of authority is a great way to get fined or sent to jail and not really get any sort of message out. "well I think french freedom fighters should of had the courage to stand right up to the nazis instead of hiding and attacking from the dark like a bunch of pussies". Not to draw parallels between the two, but you get the gist right?

That being said, could you not annoy workers? Please figure something out thats not just extra work for people who have no influence on modern coporate culture.

If you have honest to goodness artistic talent, consider volunteering a mural. It doesn't have the rebel nature of an errant graffiti mark, but its a message that lasts longer. For example if you don't like walmart find a building with an open side nearby to your walmart, ask the owner and offer to do it for free. Paint your anti walmart message, and voila, its art, ergo protected free speech. As long as its truthful and not vulgar, its good to go and walmart can't do anything about it (citations needed)

Have you considered sousvalence? At all times you should have the means to record any and all abuses of authority no matter how large or small.

Getting arrested is a great way to get your message out, if you do it right.

Not many beat cops have "shoot on sight" orders. Scale does matter.

Besides, there was no real need to draw attention to the "social issue" of Nazis in France. People kind of already knew.

*Read this in a bored mellow voice*

I'm not against Wal-mart, They could treat their workers a hell of alot better, but I have nothing against them hiring people in poor neighborhoods, who really need the money.

Dr.Jeebus, I am not a Liberal.

When someone takes part in culture jamming chances are they are going against the CEO's etc.
They may simple just hand out flyers, leaflets, to the workers about what their rights are.

Now I know everyone has a problem with graffiti, and I see your point, people would rather see the big fancy murals/Pieces by artist like SEEN or COPE rather then "Down wit WALLMART" on the side of the wall.

Now my group is simply against how America is becoming a nation under CCTV, we feel that all this , is the government pushing for social control of it's citzens. All we do is hand out flyers to people do a couple slaps and call it a day/Night.

But in general people (not this site , but peoplein general) have a stick up their ass for ANYTHING urban. (I'm blame all the hip-hop I listen to)

but fuck it, if you don't like it you don't like it, just move on with life.

Stay free.

**RIP DONDI**

Anything else, I'm fine with.

QFT.
I have no problem with rap music and stuff, but when somebody sprays 'Walmart is corporate evil' on the sidewalk in front of your house over and over again no matter how many times you clean it up, you get a little angry at the people who are doing it.

Yeah the UK has serious problem with those cameras and shit.

(The whole one nation under CCTV got me into Jamming)

Yeah I know of his work, only problem is alot of guys bit his name , because in chicago they're at least three guys who go by cope and they're all good.

And someone told me that COPE2 was like his son of something, I might be wrong.

I say that because sonetines Gods/Kings of Graff will retire they're name and someone else will use it.

Wal-Mart may be evil but it is not the lower level employees that make it evil. Defacing a Wal-Mart store only makes the lower level employees work even harder to clean up the graffiti/vandalism.

Or, you could slowly build up your own competing corporation by providing a larger selection and better prices, thereby building up the amount of people who go to your place and not the other place. You should also give your employees better wages and benefits, reducing the amount of people wanting to work for the other company. Once your business begins turning a profit, you can begin buying stock in the other corporation and eventually attempt a merger...

On second thought, you idea is easier.

I say work for the company and build your status, letting nobody get in your way. Be ruthless, innovative, and let nothing get in your way to the top. Within 30 years, if you're lucky and don't care much for friends or family, maybe you'll own the company and be able to change its face.

Of course by then you'll be a power-hungry megalomaniac who likes things the way they are.

That's a bullshit defense. You're breaking the law and damaging property (personal and government owned) knowing full well that it will not cause any change and only doing it for your own amusement and the annoyance of others, and then saying that we have a stick up our asses for calling you a punk.

You know why people have a problem with ANYTHING urban? Because it's shit, and it fucking SUCKS.

I grew up in the fucking barrio(being a little white kid at the time, you can imagine how much fun that was.) I've seen the "urban lifestyle," and I was even dumb enough to live it for a while. You know what? It's shit. Total shit.

I'm not cool with everything being broken down and dirty, with everyone being either a fucking dirtbag or an asshole. I'm not cool with all my shit being stolen. I'm not cool with being shot at for walking down the street. I'm not cool with having to deal with shithead drug addicts, and having to see teens walking the streets as fucking whores. I'm not cool with everyone talking about how awesome it is that everything is shitty, like it's something to be proud of. If you believed their bullshit, every single kid in my high school was kicked out by their parents and living on the street. Nonsense, of course, but they had to keep their ghetto cred. I'm not fucking cool with life being depressing and meaningless.

Fuck ghetto culture, even if you are white enough to call it "urban." Fuck urban culture too, then. Fuck it to hell. The ghettos need to fucking razed, the pathetic denizens culled. Burn it all to the ground, and let some grass grow in it's place. Make a park out of it. One where little kids can play, not where piece of shit gangsters intimidate anyone daring to encroach upon their 'territory.'

Oh yeah, and fuck hip-hop too.
