I was thinking about having a spoken word mp3 by yours truly of Syd's articles.
I think sometimes we all get too lazy and miss comedic gold that sometimes gets overlooked in the articles when we are speed reading. When I read them outloud I actually laugh much harder.
Epic Win or Epic Fail?

If you got someone with a good voice it'd be neat.

Potential for both good and bad here. If the reader is good at their job, it would make for some very funny podcasts. If they suck though, it would be a lot of work for nothing.

Yeah like Uncyclopedia's UN News MP3s, they have multiple people doing them and maybe 1 out 20 are funny and have decent voices. The rest are either bland or indecipherable, plus there's no sense of audio quality control going on for the project, the volumes for each recording vary wildly so constantly adjusting your volume gets tedious really fast.

My speaking/reading voice, and I am not even kidding, has been known to turn women on like mad. Just sayin'.

I completely agree with this, but love the idea Ermac presented.
Only the author knows where to properly emphasize, and how to present the text.

I've been told I have a sexy voice...more so over the phone so I could work at a phone sex place for the ladies to call in...that's the extent of my sexyness. Lame.

Honestly, part of the fun of reading Syd's articles is your own imagination of how you think he sounds. Having someone reading it to you ruins the fun (including him)

I apparently sound like Christian Slater to my friends. I guess that means I sound like a guy that, in turn, is trying to sound like Jack Nicholson. You could probably get the real Christian Slater to do it for the same price as me though, so I guess that wouldn't make a difference.

I prefer reading myself, it could be really cool for other people, though. Only if Syd did it.
Also, whenever I read his articles, I picture him sounding kind of like Orson Welles.... when I read aloud, I naturally go into this amazing droning voice, not interesting to listen to, unfortunately, but amazing all the same.

I'd hire Steven Wright to do them. Or maybe Ben Stein.
