Cecil's Dark Sword doesn't do any damage to undead.
Try using healing magic on them.

Also, use healing potions and spells on them.

blkplaguelmc, please review Rule 2.
Also, when referencing FF 2 or 3, you need to explain the version you are discussing.

Or, better yet, call them 4 and 6 if those are the installments you're playing.
Fucking late westernization.

If you are playing FFIV or FFVI on the SNES the physical cart will read FFII and FFIII so it just needs to be stated that is the format.

We are NOT going to start a fucking "Final Fantasy Number War" here. Those are so fucking stupid.
As long as there's no confusion, it shouldn't matter.
(I would prefer it be called "4" myself, but still)

How about we come up with an official Sydlexia nomenclature for all Final Fantasy Games:
I suggest
Final Fantasy - 1, The original, The one with the mech on the bridge.
Final Fantasy 2 - 2, The 2nd Famicon one, The one that isn't very good.
Final Fantasy 3 - 3, The 3rd Famicon one, the one you haven't played, unless you downloaded a translated ROM for.
Final Fantasy 4 - 4, The 1st SNES/Super Famicon one, the one with the Spoony Bard
Final Fantasy 5 - 5, The 2nd Super Famicon one, the other one we didn't get until PSX.
Final Fantasy 6 - 6, The 3rd Super Famicon one, the 2nd SNES one, the one with Kefka.
Final Fantasy 7 - 7, The 1st PSX one. The one that introduced emos as main characters.
Final Fantasy 8 - 8, The 2nd PSX one. The one with the hot teacher.
Final Fantasy 9 - 9, The 3rd PSX one. The cutesy one.
Final Fantasy 10 - 10, The 1st PS2 one. The one with lots of water.
Final Fantasy 11 - 11, The MMO that shouldn't count in the main series and should have been called simply "Final Fantasy Online".
Final Fantasy 12, 12, The 3rd PS2 one. The shitty one made after all the original people left Sqeenix.
Final Fantasy 13, 13, The 1st PS3/X360 one.
Others:
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest - MQ, The easy, shitty one.
Dissidia: Final Fantasy - The upcoming platformer for PSP
Final Fantasy Legend · Final Fantasy Legend II · Final Fantasy Legend III - The Gameboy ones.
Final Fantasy Adventure - The one that's really a Mana series game. Also on Gameboy.
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years • Compilation of Final Fantasy VII • Final Fantasy X-2 • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy • VII Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings - Ways to make more money.

And besides, cloud didn't go Emo until his "Girlfriend" was run through with a giant ass sword. Before this happened he tried to be a BAMF.

Dissidia is a 3D fighting game/RPG hybrid.
Also, regarding FF7, how the hell is the lead supposed to act if (basically) his life was a lie?
|

Xbox Live: HazNobody, pronounced "HAz". | Haven't went to IRC yet? Go! #sydlexia @ DALnet. | Y'all should play some Super Robot Wars J (hey that rhymes!) | yeah I'm back who gives a shit |

Cecil was NOT emo. He had serious fucking problems. He killed innocents and took their crystals, burned almost every single Caller to death, was betrayed multiple times by his best friend, and found out that his primary antogonist was also his brother. Also, he dispells his inner darkness fairly early in the game.

He certainly was at the start of the game.
"Wah, wah, I'm a dark knight, I had to kill innocents, I can't live up to my father, I'm just not worthy to sleep with you, Rosa"

He was conflicted! He was torn between doing what was right and doing what he was told.

He didn't whine all that much. Admittedly though, he did hang his head in shame and sigh a lot.

In addition, the guy is a Black Knight. What's the Black Knight's special power? He cuts himself to do damage to all enemies.

Yeah, but NoA had a strict emo censorship policy, so it was a no go.
