Rambo 4 is by far the bloodiest. And #1 was pretty obvious too. Thoughts?

Nice! I had no idea Rambo 4 looked like that, now I'm considering watching it!
I was thinking on Planet Terror, that had some nice shotting on it, but it didn't made it to the list...

How does Hot Shots 2 get on the list, and not "Shoot Em Up"?

I couldn't find the scene I wanted, but this trailer pretty much says it all:

Nice list. It's not the body count that counts here, right? If not, then it's far better.

No Commando? That's pretty surprising, Scarface is rather overrated though.

I've never to this day seen Scarface in its entirety, but I've seen that shootout sequence at least 10 times, and probably masturbated to it once.

I agree that Commando should have been on there and high on the list.

Thank you, but I was much happier not knowing this.

No commando makes me a sad panda. That movie has some of arnolds best lines and is probably one of the best action movies of the 80's, which puts it in the running for best action movie(one man army).

I've never seen heat or the wild bunch, but I have seen Death wish 3, and that movie is god awful.

Any movie that has a decent looking chick with a fucking assault rifle (later a FUCKING MINIGUN) for a leg deserves to be on every list ever.

I'm not quite sure what their definition of a "shoot'em up" movie is.

Scarface is violent as hell, but it's not an action movie. I was under the impression we were looking at movies like Commando and such.

Yeah, Scarface is only a shoot 'em up if you only watch/remember the last ten minutes. Heat isn't a shoot 'em up at all.

Shoot 'Em Up and Commando should definitely be on that list.

The list is also in desperate need of some Bruce Willis. Die Hard, maybe? Last Man Standing?

Crap, the lack of Die Hard completely escaped me. Although in fairness, I guess the body counts aren't QUITE as high as some of the others they picked (that seems to be the barometer they're using; its the only way I can fathom that Hot Shots II is on there.)
