Hey guys!! For like 7 hours on Tuesday, we were countrymen! My cousin got his $1300 tax return check and we went down to Bellingham, Washington, which is about half an hour south of the border. We drove through Lynden, which is the most perfect, idyllic move American town on Earth. Picket fences, perfect lawns, and American flags on every porch AND THE GREATEST PLAYGROUND I HAVE EVER BEEN ON.
Your pawn shops sell guns! And there's two-storey trailers! And your Wal-Marts have booze, guns, and fish!! AND YOUR PRESIDENT IS BLACK!
We also went to the Old Country Buffet. It was approximately 10 years ago that I decreed their macaroni and cheese to be the finest to entertain my pallette. I had waited 10 years to once again taste its sweet nectar. Let me tell you, I have never eaten a plate of food so fast in my life. Minute flat.
Anyway, your guys' country is pretty amazing. Beautiful too. God bless right?

Aren't you Canadian? Isn't Canada already in America?
I'm either confused or ostracizing you for your poor choice of words in the topic title. Your pick.

Glad you enjoyed yourself....but OCB? That food is equivalent to the horrible dorm food they serve in college. You should have went to Applebees.

It's just shorthand - easier than writing out The United States of America every single time. The acronym USA serves its purpose, but it's not a word, so it does not flow right all the time.

America, fuck yeah.
Funny, because I remember flying in to Westchester last year on my trip to NY, and thinking the same thing about the houses there. All the autumn orange leaves picket fences whitewashed houses. Totally looked like the neighborhood on Who's the Boss.
I'm going to canada this summer hopefully. I heard that gravy and fries is a dish fit for the gods. I will be visiting somewhere closer to the west coast as I will likely be driving. I was thinking a couple days in Calgary...

I had that in a ratty bar on the North Side of Chicago a year or two ago. It was good. Then again, I like gravy almost as much as a Southerner.

YAY! Of course, there's only one way to celebrate your newfound Americanness. Pull up a lazy chair, pop open a Budweiser, and enjoy:

I don't recall you asking permission to visit my state!
Old Country Buffet freaks me out, giant fat people picking through the food that's been sitting out and getting staler and nastier, eww.

Old Country Buffet is fan-freaking-tastic, especially the fish.
I don't know if there are White Castles in Washington (or Canada), but you need to experience one, particularly a Jalepino Cheeseburger.

I can't vouch for those jalapeno fuckers, but the chicken rings are bitchin'.
They suck to make though. I hate working there.

I liked the jalapeno cheeseburgers when they first came out, but I got sick of them.
I love the chicken ring sandwiches though.

Jalapeno cheeseburgers = amazing, even if the burgers are made from horse meat...didn't you ever wonder why White Castle never mentions their meat as being "100% beef" like McDonald's does?

We might be going down to Washington again tomorrow, to pick up Vanilla Coke before we need passports to enter.
And Bud's my favorite beer, but it's better when it's brewed in Canada
