It looks like a guitar with a bigger handle to me. Personally I think this thing would be awesome to use as a weapon in a fighting game. No, not as a controller, but as a physical object to pick up and hit the person sitting next to you.
As far as I can tell it doesn't come in pink yet, so Syd, you are shit out of luck.

Does that heart-shaped pink guitar you linked to before actually exist or was that a photoshop job?

Those things are all over. Probably half the selection of guitars at my Gamestop are those.

Doesn't she read these boards? I mean... wouldn't that kill the surprise?
Also, isn't it considered rude if you buy presents for others that you fully intend to use for yourself?

A) No, unless I tell her to.
B) I'm probably not going to use it, unless I get sufficient funds to produce the post-apocalyptic thriller I'm working on where I play an evil transvestite.

Dude, I'll hook you up. But only if we can get Kurt Angle to play that creepy clown in it.

I almost ordered one of those guitars off Amazon, but they were like $50, so I was like, eh fuck it. Then I was in Best Buy on Saturday getting my grandmother Mothers' Day/birthday presents and they had both them for $20. So my sister is now getting one of those for her birthday in addition to the other stuff I already got her.

Maybe that is the controller for the upcoming DJ Hero game.

Jesus, that is terrible. You could buy a mediocre entry level REAL guitar for that price. What could possibly justify that pricetag? It does not even play real music, I understand that it uses realistic materials and all but........wow.

They had something like this for the PS2 game BeatMania. I remember seeing it and I was almost tempted to get it. Instead I bought Dark Sector... what the hell was I thinking?

I think I played Beatmania for about two days before I put it aside. Given what I paid for the game and controller it definitely wasn't worth it for me either.
