Yeah, I am a proud temporary owner of a SNES. Look how cute it looks on my floor next to my borrowed Gamecube.
Then there are the games. From left to right, top to bottom: Donkey Kong Country, Terranigma, Plok, Act Raiser, Lufia II, Mystic Quest Legend (yes, it's the worst Final Fantasy ever, but I enjoy it), Maui Mallard (a Donald Duck game with shitty controls), Sim City and Secret of Mana.
I also have some NTSC games that can't be played on a PAL SNES (I think...). Chrono Trigger, GemFire, Inindo and Paladin's Quest.
Then there's this.
So, first things first - how do I play the NTSC games? Do I need to get on Amazon and get an adaptor or something, or do I just yank the game out of the plastic shell and jam it in?
Also, did you people seriously call this D-pad good? I'm starting to think that there are only, like, four consoles with good D-pads: the NES, the GBAs, the NDS and the Wii.

Double post because I forgot to mention this:
Lufia 2 is in German. Terranigma is in German also. Secret of Mana? You bet your ass it's in German.
Mystic Quest? French. At least I know a bit of that.
I get the feeling that when I return this SNES to it's owner, I'm going to be fluent in German and French.

This site has lots of useful info:
http://www.gamesx.com/
Including a way to make a PAL SNES run at full speed. (For reasons known only to Nintendo, they made the PAL systems run games slightly slower than the North American SNES.)

It's because they thought that while Americans are too stupid for hard games like SMB2, they are way smarter than those stupid Europeans. So they slowed the Euro games down to make it easier for them to follow.
True story.

The SNES iteration of SimCity has always been my favorite.

Congrats, the SNES is definitely the system for classic gaming in my opinion. My favorite games include Donkey Kong Country, Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball, Super Bowling, and AeroBiz Supersonic just to name a few.

FYI: Japanese carts are identical.
I am THIS CLOSE to beating Mystic Quest in French. While it may be no easy task, figuring out where to go, I already have beaten FF7 in German. Six times.

It's identical to the Japanese Famicom, other than a color swap.
