well yea... clearly this is a true statement!
In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be *the actual* El Guapo!
This is more for those who have seen the movie and know what they're watching, but this thread demands it:
Let's ride!!

Gotta love this movie. I love when Steve Martin is chained up and gets pulled back against the wall. "That hurt!"

Words can not explain how immensely unfunny I find Steve Martin.
Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us.

He's funnier than Chevy Chase. Granted I like Steve Martin.

I liked Steve Martin in Housesitter for some reason, that was really it.
He is funny to most conservatives who don't find him too raunchy.

Steve Martin and Chevy Chase were both awesome in their prime.
The Jerk, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Fletch, Planes Trains & Automobiles, National Lampoon's Vacation, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Caddyshack, Spies Like Us, My Blue Heaven, Little Shop of Horrors.
Also, Martin was awesome in Mixed Nuts, and Chase was great in Dirty Work.

QFT for sure. The Jerk is one of my favorite movies. As is Planes Trains and Automobiles.
Does anyone know the guy who plays El Guapo? He looks so damn familiar, but I can't place him.

Chase's job in Dirty Work was probably the only time I've found him funny in a post-80s movie.

Three Amigos is probably my second favorite movie of all time. It's Chevy Chase's best for sure.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

Christmas Vacation? Aw man, easily one of the funniest movies ever made. And I'm a big fan of Steve Martin. I definitely recommend is autobiography, Born Standing Up.
Having said that about the other two amigos, Martin Short pisses me off. Unbearable a good amount of the time; simply unfunny the rest of the time.
