I like making the opposites of popular threads. Anyway, I just bought a new copy of the Orange Box for $12, and a 3 month X-Box live card for $14. So now I wanna hear the least you've payed for anything game related.

Orange Box was just on sale for $9.99 on Steam last weekend. Sorry I wish I had posted it earlier. Still $12 is damn good.

This movie rental store was going out of business, so my dad bought out their entire NES collection. 70 games for 70 bucks. Very Happy And the games included weren't cheap crap, the collection included River City Ransom (!), Double Dribble, Final Fantasy, and Willow.

Oh, and someone gave me Martian Gothic on the PSone for a quarter. A sweet deal, if you ask me.

Back in the day when FuncoLand was still around, you could get all sorts of NES games for under $5. Then GameStop took over and jacked up the prices. Their prices didn't even make sense. $8 for Operation Wolf? Which completely sucked? And the store has TWENTY FUCKING COPIES OF!?

I bought Time Shift for like seven bucks on super markdown at Target once. It was about a seven dollar game anyway, Gamestop actually gave me only a buck less than I paid for it when I traded it in.

You can occasionally find some incredible steals at gamestop if you look hard enough. I picked up Viewtiful Joe there about 2 months ago for $1.99 and then Viewtiful Joe 2 last week for the same price. An incredible price for incredible games.

Three bucks for 6-PAK (Genesis). That's three bucks for Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, Revenge of Shinobi, Super Hang-On, and Columns.

I was rather pleased.

I remember getting Rogue Squadron 2 for the Gamecube at Target for like $6.99 back in 2004, awesome game too.

You know, I've never been to a FuncoLand, but I still remember the ad's in the back of PSM (when it was good) and I happen to remember seeing the awesomely cheap price for all of their games. Damnit Gamestop...
With that aside, I bought two games really cheap at Big Lots for two dollars. They were Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for PC and Taito Ledgends for the PC. Both are good but Taito Ledgends doesn't work half the time Confused

I remember there being quite a few NES games under $5 when it was Funcoland too. Between there and buying the used video games at Blockbuster Video I found quite a few decent games for under $5 back in the day.

I think the only thing I ever got at FuncoLand was the first Pokemon Pinball.

Pretty much any Atari or Game Gear purchase I made in recent years, each of which cost no more than $5.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault for 5 euros and NHL 2002 for 4 euros, from a stockout sale back in 2002. Those games had only been out for a few months at that point, and I actually got more money when I eventually traded them in than I paid for them.

It's amazing how many of life's problems are solved by indiscriminate cannon fire.
