I looked up a walkthrough but it had really vague instructions and just made it more confusing.

The temple is somewhat aggravating. You are like "Shit. I need to change this so I can float." all the time but confusing enough where you needed walkthroughs or 2 years worth of frustrating hatred and failure? That's a bit much.

Well I personnally got stuck for 3 years in Link's Awakening, in the sixth temple. I had bombed everywhere, except at that one place.
It was pretty obvious, at least on a Gameboy Color. In black in white, the details of the floor are kinda hard to see.

And in OoT, I fail for using a walkthough before even reaching the Temple of Time on my first playthrough.

Enh, I remember getting stuck on Link's Awakening as well. Something about the 4th or 5th dungeon.
