Have any of you heard of this yet? I just noticed these at the store a few days ago. Instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup they're made with real sugar. I bought a Mountain Dew and it tasted like diet, which kinda sucks.

I like the whole bringing back the old style logos and real sugar but I honestly haven't tried them yet. I will though. Soon.

The Mountain Dew wasn't as tangy too, I still want to try the Pepsi though.

Coca-Cola sells real sugar Coke each year for Passover. If it has a yellow cap, it's made with real sugar. Not all stores bring it in though.

I work at a grocery store and along with regular Coke we also carry Mexican Coke. The Mexican Coke comes in glass bottles and is made with real sugar as well. It tastes a lot better than regular Coke. Even though I tend to drink diet sodas I really like the Mexican Coke.

Speaking of which, have you ever noticed that coke in glass bottles have mexican on the labels? Why do the distribute the glass coke in mexico but not in the US? It tastes so much better out of glass for some reason.

Different bottling plants bottle in different materials. I too like sodas from glass or plastic more than aluminum cans.

I typically prefer cola from bottles, but the Mexican Coke I bought from 7-11 a couple weeks back tasted pretty bad.
So, I put in some coconut-flavored Rum, and it was tolerable.

That explains why I cough so much after drinking it.

I figured a swine flu joke would be funnier than a stereotype, but that's just me.

Whoa, haven't seen this thread in a while. But one thing I will say is that the Pepsi throwback is very good and retains its tasty cola flavor, almost tasting more like Coke for some reason. Stay away from the Mountain Dew throwback though. It tastes less citrusy and has a bit of Diet Mountain Dew flavor.

Pepsi is the god of all soft drinks, don't question it.

Syd and I saw "The Invention of Lying" the other night, and they had the best, most accurate Pepsi ad ever. There was an ad on a side of a bus that was just a picture of a glass of soda and next to it it said "Pepsi: When they don't have Coke".

Amazing, I love Pepsi, but I know for sure that a ton of people can't taste the difference.

I've had Mexican Pepsi.
The reason why soda in the US doesn't use "real" sugar (cane sugar) is because of corn. I don't know if it's because corn is highly available here and cheap, or corn subsidies, or both, but I know the reason is corn, and that we have a fuckton of it.
Mexico has a fuckton of sugarcane, so they get sugarcane. Myself, honestly, I prefer the American drinks. Cane sugar is too sweet for me.
