What the hell? I know steam is a large community that has alot of people and gamers on the whole, but seriously? what's next, Blizzard and Steam coming together to make Condensation and have WoW as the prime game, CSS and TF2 as a pay to play situation?
I'm just going to be pissed when the update comes and all my Steam games get shafted. Though I must say, Steam made a good choice with Rockstar.

I'm fine buying games like CSS and L4D on steam but when it comes to a game like WoW or City of Hero's I get nerveous with the pay to play Mentality. And so you know, as long as you have your account you will always have your games...

Blizzard will never join with Steam... at least not soon.
They have their own content distribution system called Battle.net.
All of my blizzard games can be downloaded directly from that site. Also they merged WOW & Battle.net accounts.

Yes, but with a partnership with steam, Blizzard would be able to captialize on the expanding Valve empire of content delivery. Granted B.net is pretty good, but I think that Blizzard would be able to use the automated updates to thier fullest. It seems like everyday one of my games is being updated and a new release is present. Blizzard could utilize this and give consumers more of a chance to get new things on thier games such as different weapons, armor or even quests.
I just think that you are right in the timing, not being too soon, but I have a gut feeling that we'll see the two pair up in the future.
