These are the rules* for the Diablo II League

*You may not play solo games. You must play with at least one other forum member.
*All characters start at level 1. You may have as many characters as you wish.
*Games are played on the US East Realm. The room name is "sydlexia" and the password is "haddox". The lowest-leveled person should create the room.
*Do NOT be an asshole. The idea is to be a team. Share items, see if people need something before you sell it, stay together, and listen to the leader. If you're an excessive dick, we'll just disinvite you.
*You may play at any time you can find a group, though it would be nice to have set times to play. You may make characters any way you wish (Ladder, Hardocre, DII Classic), so long as you can find people willing to play with you.

If you want to brag about your character, offer up some trade items, or schedule a group, use this thread. Try and give people some notice. You can also try and find a group in the chat room.

(*They're more...guidelines...than actual rules)

I never got too far when I first had it, although I'm game if the hours of play coincides with my freetime.

I'm interested in this.... To be honest, every time I play D2 online I end up having to leave because of the "fighting" with people that just want me ear...

My schedule probably won't coincide with you guys. I work until about eleven at night, Tuesdays-Saturdays.

You're telling this to people who have a regularly scheduled D&D game starting at midnight. Very Happy

Hah, I'm down. Thursday evening around 11:30 p.m. would be fine.

I haven't played this game in a hundred years but I'm totally in! I always hated playing that game online because no one would actually help you and assholes would immediately steal all the good drops, but playing with you guys, I'd have a better chance.

In fact, I'm going to install it right now and DL the newest patch...

Sweet.

For those who need to pick up the latest patch, the game will automatically patch you when you try and connect to battle.net. But you can also get it here. It's 1.12a

The big thing about it is being able to play without the CD if you do a full install. You need to copy some additional files from the CD, here are the details

What I'm envisioning here is a "closed" multiplayer environment. The only items are the ones we earn while playing. Other than that, I can't see putting any sort of restrictions on when to play. Have as many characters as you like, start as many groups as you like, move them around between groups as you like, just only play them in a group. And no dickheads. If someone is gonna be a dickhead, we'll just kick you out.

So, shall we try and get things started tomorrow night? Or tonight, if I can dig up enough people.

If I still had my discs, I'd play with you guys. Is this just Diablo II, or is it LoD?

I'd be all in if I could, unless I raise enough money to maybe get the Battle Chest off of Amazon or something.

If we play, everyone taking part needs to be a different class. I'd play, but if we started at 11:30pm EST, I'd only be able to play for an hour and a half on Thursday night.

Oh, and I call dibs on Necromancer.

Actually, I really don't have the time to commit.

Sorry for getting your hopes up.
