Here's a sitemap generator I found in the first listings of searching:

http://www.auditmypc.com/xml-sitemap.asp

Sitemaps are mainly to help the bots get where they need to go faster. so they can see the entire site and hopefully go through and index every link. Very helpful, usually recommended.

What would keep the search bots coming is to set up your software to Ping blog serves after any new update. The ping lets those places know you've updated and sends the bots in.

If you have a good sitemap when they get there, a lot to all of your site, should get indexed.

RIP Hacker

Well, I've created a sitemap for the main site. The one bad thing about it is that now some unfinished and aborted articles could possibly show up on Google. If any of you find these pages:

1. Do NOT post links to them here.
2. Do NOT private message me about them or ask me about them on IRC.

Doing so will result in a suspension.

The site map is only necessary if you do not have a good structure of links within your domain. It is to pick up the pieces of more "hidden" pages such as unfinished articles Confused

It is extremely important for linking subdomains though.

As for the blog updates, this is true. All articles could benefit from being on wordpress.

I am currently running Enarion, I need something better. It works great for smaller sites, but I keep getting server timeouts when I try to map the wiki.
