So I finally got around to getting Guitar Hero Metallica and this game has seriously put my Guitar Hero skills to the test. I had to go back to playing it on medium instead of hard. I got through the first few venues on hard but had to go back to medium when I got to the venue with Master of Puppets and Battery. I can beat Battery on Rock Band 2 on hard but this version was a lot harder. Hell, even some of the songs on medium felt kind of hard to me at times.

I also remember a couple years ago my friend and I were at a local bar that used to do a Guitar Hero night. This was before Metallica was in a Guitar Hero game and also before Rock Band came out. We were talking about how awesome a Metallica Guitar Hero would be. I guess we called it. Very Happy

The most recent GH(And only) that I've played was GHIII, it had me hooked for a while, but then I ended up being uninterested in it after playing all of the songs at least once. I may retry it again with Metallica or GHIV, but we'll see.

I played War Ensemble on medium in Best Buy today for the first time, my right forearm was aching halfway through the song.

Yeah, I got through the first few sets on hard and then tried Master of Puppets on hard and got my ass kicked. I can do Enter Sandman on hard though and can beat the singing for that song on expert. It was a real wake up call to have to back to medium.

Eh... I've gotten too good at this type of game. However, drums are just ridiculous.

"Whiplash" gave me trouble on the strumming pattern, for some reason I only got three stars on Expert. Eh, whatever. Died once on "Fight Fire With Fire", a few times on "War Ensemble", but overall I was able to beat every song in the game on Expert. The basslines were tougher than I thought because you have to go up and down instead of using your fingers like I do in real life, so I found myself having a hard time with "Disposable Heroes" and "Whiplash." But I got it eventually. And when I found out Cliff wasn't playable, I said "Fuck you!" and went and made him in the "Custom Character" mode.

Well, I'm definitely not getting this.

Well it is still worth picking up in my opinion. There are a ton of great songs on the game and you can even play the drums with two bass pedals if you want. I have a hard enough time playing Rock Band with a single bass pedal.
