LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Larry the Cable Guy is set to get animated for Comedy Central.

The cable network has ordered a half-hour animated pilot starring the "Blue Collar" comedian, who is the co-creator and co-writer of the still-untitled project.

Larry will star as a misguided but well-intentioned co-owner of a cable TV station whose other owner is a woman of class and taste who does not share his vision for programming, preferring instead a more traditional station lineup to Larry's experimental, half-baked show ideas. As can be expected, they seldom agree on anything.

Creator-writers Larry, Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow will also serve as executive producers.

The pilot marks a continuation of Larry's successful relationship with Comedy Central, which aired the network TV premiere of the film "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: The Movie," drawing more than 2 million viewers in November 2003. The premieres of the network's "Blue Collar Comedy Tour Rides Again" (February 2005) and "Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One for the Road" (in June) drew 6.1 million and 5.3 million viewers, respectively, ranking the programs as the Nos. 3 and 5 most-watched programs in Comedy Central's history.

Larry also recently taped a one-hour, stand-up special for Comedy Central that will premiere in the summer.

"I am very excited about this animated project," Larry said. "Comedy Central has always been good to me, and I thank them for giving me the opportunity once again to live up to their low expectations."

Larry's other recent credits include starring in the feature film "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector" and voicing a role in the animated feature "Cars." He is set to star in the upcoming film "Delta Farce."

Cohen and Sokolow's writing credits include such feature films as "Toy Story" and "Cheaper by the Dozen."

Comedy Central has no standards. They cancelled Tough Crowd, and and Insomniac? Fuck them!

At least South Park is still amusing.

Oh, this past season of South Park was freakin' awesome. The Wii episodes should've been the finale instead of that suck-ass hockey one.

Yeah this season really was a good one.

The Wii episodes were great, and I thought the whole downfall of Chef thing in the first episode was pretty funny.

Comedy Central also aired a pilot for a Norm MacDonald sketch comedy show called Back To Norm, which they didn't pick up. Since Dave Chapelle isn't coming back, I think it's time they got back to Norm about Back To Norm, because it was fucking hilarious. His Andy Rooney impression was dead-on.

Was that the pilot directed by Bruce McCulloch? I didn't even know that got aired.

No kidding. What a winning combination! That's why I'm upset I didn't see it Sad

Other winning combination: Ray Liotta starred in Bruce's latest film, "Comeback Season".

Is it me, or are all the big comedy stations in a downward spiral nowadays?

Nickelodeon was the first to fall, by canceling great shit like Angry Beavers and Zim in favor of shit like Drake and Josh or Squarepants.

Comedy Central has been adopting more and more shit lately, leaving less time for anything good. Their stand-up comedy is what I watch them for. Where the hell is it now?

Cartoon Network is still okay, but lately to me Adult Swim is kind of shit now. (The only thing worth watching on there anymore is Robot Chicken. They keeping coming up with unfunny crap like Tom Goes to the Mayor or 12 oz. Mouse. Don't get me started with the Assy McGee bullshit that they've just started.)

That's my 2 cents.

Comedy Central is gonna have a Sara Silverman show. That has a decent chance of being good. Plus, South Park just keeps getting better and better.

The only things I watch on Adult Swim anymore are Robot Chicken and Venture Bros., and occasionally some Aqua Teen.

And I liked Spongebob.... Embarrassed

The focus so far has been on the comedy shows. Trinity Blood suffers from the same problem as any of the .hack series, albeit to a lesser extent, where if you miss one episode you have no idea what's going on.

Bleach is awesome though. Also, CN's doing the usual "ass-early Saturday morning anime" again, this time with .hack//Roots (5 a.m. Saturday)

Getting back on topic, I'm not sure what I think about Frisky Dingo, but I think I'm going to give up on it.

Ya, I missed 2 episodes of Trinity Blood, and the next time I watched it (last Saturday) I was like "What the fuck is going on?" So, now, to me, it's "Eye Candy."
But somehow, no matter what, I'm ALWAYS there to watch Bleach, no matter where I am. Can you say "Luck"?!

I can get the plot synopsis of episodes I miss on the internet, so I don't miss anything.

Watchin' it is better than readin' 'bout it, but I digress.

Well, I want to keep up with Trinity Blood, to avoid that "what the hell's happening" feeling.
