Sounds like a good idea to me. I just need to get a camera...
My game collection in it's entirety is pretty big, however I doubt it's nearly as big as some of the collections people have out there...

Heck, don't let that stop you. As long as it's a collection, I'd like to see it.

I think I'll get to it this weekend when I get the chance.
This might actually be fun.

...No, This. Anyway, unwarranted Message Board sarcasm aside, here are some pics of (The majority of) my Game Collection. I say 'majority' because: 1) These pics were taken in January of this year, and I've gotten more games since then, and: 2) I'm missing games for almost all the pictured systems, along with my N64, Saturn, Gamecube, and XBox and their respective games.
...So anyway, here are the pics:

VERY nice Arc, I really wish my collection didn't suffer from my parents' ignorance, or I'd still have my NES, Sega CD, and Dreamcast. I could try and get picks of all of my surviving stuff sometime, if I can get my hands on a digital camera or if I can find my webcam.

I don't have half of that stuff. I really wish my family wasn't poor. When I was a kid my mom had to pawn my NES and all of my games just so we could pay the rent...

Haha, Arcane, I like how Bible Adventures is at the VERY top of your NES collection. But that's a freakin' sweet collection, especially the SNES games. I thought I was the only person who liked Plok. Your handheld Donkey Kong game looks godly.
I was thinking about getting a Turbografx, do you recommend a purchase?

This stuff is all inspiring. I'm going to borrow my brother's iPhone and take a few pictures of my collection. It's going to be hell trying to drag out my Master system though.

Ouch. I know what you mean, though--Parents have been known to get the best of many a Game Collection since time immemorial. My parents were different, though--I've only traded-in five games in my life ( Super Scope 6 (Super Scope included, of course lol), Aero the Acro-Bat (Recently got that God-forsaken game back), Dead or Alive 2 (Dreamcast), Burgertime, and X-Men Legends II (XBox)). The first two I got frustrated with and decided I didn't want them (Like a damn fool--I should still have that Super Scope now), and the last three simply didn't work (Well, I thought something was wrong w/the X-Men game, but it was actually my Save File).
...So yeah, the moral of the story is that I never trade-in/return games unless they don't work, hence the majority of my collection.

Thanks, man. Sorry to hear about the rent incident, but trust me, you're not/weren't the only poor one--Believe it or not, I'm a broke college student...a broke college student that just happens to have a shitload of games. lol I've never been in that kind of situation, but if worst came to worst, I'd sell some of my games.

Thanks. Your Collection is nice, too--As a matter of fact, I've always wanted a Virtual Boy, mainly to play that Wario Land game.
As for Bible Adventures, lol Yeah, I put it on top just so I could take some pics of it to prove to someone on another Board that I had it. Other than that, I pretend that game doesn't exist. lol
Yeah, Plok is pretty cool, but weird as all hell. lol I remember reading about it all the time in Nintendo Power, and wishing I could find and play it. I'm still surprised I found it sitting in a VG Store I frequent one day (The store isn't exactly known for having rare/obscure games). Anyway, I just realized that I like 'odd' and/or obscure games like that--A couple other SNES games that come to mind are Cool World (Yeah, based on that...'movie'), and Kendo Rage (Anime before I knew what Anime was lol).
As for the Handheld Donkey Kong, my mom acutally found that, a Handheld Pac-Man that my sister broke (I hate her for that :-/ ), the TG-16 with the pictured games, a TG-16 Strategy Book, and a 1992 Issue of Game Informer Magazine at two separate Garage Sales (Handhelds at one, the rest at another). Those are some of the only times (Besides my Birthday and Christmas, of course lol) that my Mom's Shopaholic nature has actually paid off for me.
Recommended TG-16 games? Out of the four I have, I would recommend two, maybe three of them, but Bonk's Revenge most of all. That game is fucking awesome in every way, no exaggeration (Graphics, Sound, Gameplay, Pacing, etc.), and it makes me wonder what the fuck Hudson and Nintendo are waiting for to put it on the Virtual Console. You can pick Bonk's Adventure up cheap if you can find it (It's a good game, too, but it pales in comparison to it's sequel) but you'd probably be better off just getting it on Virtual Console.
I would only recommend Victory Run depending on how much you enjoy Rad Racer, as it's damn near a clone of that game, and Keith Courage really isn't good enough to warrant a purchase, unless you enjoy repetitive side-scrolling action, cheap deaths, and some funny Engrish here and there. If I were you, I'd 'play it (Hell, all the games) online' first, if you know what I mean. lol
Anyway, I haven't played a lot of TG-16 games, but a few others I recommend are Alien Crush (Pinball Game), Bloody Wolf (Pretty much an overhead Contra without the Aliens), Splatterhouse (Name says it all), and Monster Lair, an Action/Shooter.

I've found some pretty awesome stuff at garage sales. I'll never forget the time I went to a garage sale and bought Earthbound, with the game and guide still sealed in the box, for fifteen bucks.

Thanks. I don't really have that problem now since I pay all of my own bills now. My video game collection is decent in size, however it's certainly not the biggest around.
By the way are you using Saisyu Kusangi as your avi? It looks like him but I'm not sure.

...Yeah, that's Saisyu Kusanagi, a.k.a. 'SNK's Afterthought.' They seem to enjoy sticking him in a game at the last minute...

I've only got to play a few KoF games. I never got to play one with him in it though. I'm just a big fan of Fighters Generation. How are his movesets? Does he play alot like Kyo?

Yeah, he plays a lot like Kyo (According to the storyline, he was the one who trained Kyo, and, ironically, now trains Kyo's 'Biggest Fan/Stalker' Shingo Yabuki), though he's more powerful and a little slower (Which is fitting, considering he was in the 'Oyaji (Father/Old Man) Team' along with Takuma Sakazaki (Father of Ryo and Yuri Sakazaki and Sensei of family friend Robert Garcia) and Heidern (Adopted Father of Leona Heidern) in KOF '98...

Mr. Karate? Do you ever get to see his face? I'm assuming since Ryo learned the Sakazaki fighting-style from him that they have similar movesets.

Yeah, you've been able to see his face ever since Art of Fighting 2 waaaaaay back in '94 (Though technically, he was first unmasked in the ending of the SNES port of the original Art of Fighting). He also has a special pre-fight intro when he's pitted against Ryo, Yuri, or Robert where he's wearing the Tengu/Mr. Karate Mask.
And yeah, all four of their movesets are similar, though everyone focuses on different disciplines (Or whatever it's called) of Kyokugenryu--Robert, for example, focuses on kicks.

I have one of the collections. I bought it from Wal-mart for ten bucks. I think I have the Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting collections. Anyway, I always liked using Ryo for some reason. I've only been able to play with SNK characters through crossover games and Neo-Geo Coliseum. I never really had a favorite character aside from Iori. He may look a bit emo, but his fighting style seems pretty vicious to me.

...Yeah, I have those Collections, too (Though my wanting to play and beat Art of Fighting 2 makes me wonder am I a masochist--Another example of SNK jacking their games' difficulty way up for no reason).
As for Ryo, he's pretty awesome in pretty much every game he's in, being a (Too) blatant Ryu Clone, and all. Hell, he's the main reason I was able to beat that 'Final Boss Mode' in Capcom Vs. SNK 2. And yeah, Iori may look Emo, but you're right--He's pretty vicious--Not only moveset/gameplay-wise, but for the simple fact that he has no problem killing off his teammates (Or leaving them for dead). I also like his 'Blood' Rivalry with Kyo, and the major part he's played in the story over the years...

I read about that on TFG. Vice and someone else...
He's become my favorite character to use. He's a tad flamboyant but he makes it work. On KoF Maximum Impact it says that he dislikes violence. That seems like a contradiction to me, although I didn't have the chance to follow the series from the beginning so I don't really know his whole story.
One thing that always irked me was Ryo's sister Yuri. For a fighting game chick she was cute and all, but one of her winning animation on Capcom Vs. Snk bugged me. She turns away and looked like she's sucking on the neck of her robe then she stops and gives the player a thumbs up. At least, that's what I think it was...

...Yeah, he killed Vice and Mature (Ironically, two Assassins sent to keep him under control) and left Eiji Kisaragi (The Ninja Assassin from Art of Fighting 2) and Billy Kane (Geese Howard's Bodyguard) for dead after the events of KOF '95. I agree w/you on the 'flamboyant' part--One of Iori's winning stances (Him laughing uncontrollably, kinda like Sagat) is a perfect example of this.
However, Iori's intense yet cocky nature is, of course, justified by the power he yields. Also, I remember reading about his disliking violence--I think it has something to do with his family being cursed with the Orochi Bloodline, which grants them powers like Iori has, but at the cost of premature death.
As for Yuri, that winning stance always kind of puzzled me, too--As far as I know, she's either adjusting her Gi, or fanning herself with it...? (A little off-topic, but) She really became a better fighter in the Capcom Vs. SNK series, too...

I remember that one. He's badass regardless. I think I'm going to buy the Samurai Showdown collection when I get a chance. I had the oppurtunity to play one of the older installments a few years back at an arcade and I loved it. I like SNK games in general though.
Makes sense. The curse is why his flames are purple, right? Does it ever mention anything about his father in the games? Or is he just another face in the crowd?
Weird. I like her 80's esque outfit (I have a thing for spandex, don't ask why.), however that winning stance is going to confound me until the end of my days.
Wow, I'm really getting off-topic. Maybe I should just post a fighting-game discussion thread or something. My ADD is kickin' in something fierce.

Yeah, I really like the first two SS games (They're also the only two I've played lol). Very Strategy-heavy, but (Of course) in a different way than, say, Street Fighter II. Those games are about as close to a 2D Bushido Blade as we'll ever get, at least in the states. I'd pick the Collection up just for SS2, but that's just me.

...Yeah, that's why his flames are purple. Iori's family (The 'Yagami' Clan) appealed to Orochi for the power to destroy the Kusanagi and Yata (Chizuru and Maki Kagura's family) Clans. Orochi granted them the power they sought, but at the price of premature death, like I said before. As for Iori's father, I think Kyo's father Saisyu killed him, but I'm not 100% on that.

lol No problem. I like her outfit, too. Speaking of '80s-esque, her Art of Fighting 2 stage (Gym) and music are very '80s-esque, as well. And yeah, that winning stance will probably always remain...odd.
