They're about as welcome too.

Anorex, Jeebus was just able to start contacting friends who don't frequent the forums that often, to come in and vote for him. Same as before, no difference, and strictly on the up & up.

I will mirror Usa's hatred of ties, though. It's like late voters do it on purpose to cause problems. Laughing

The result of the voting is a tie.

That's all for now.

Like I said... this can be ended by a commitee of 8 or more like in the first Battle, and get rid of this drama now.

Also, why don't you 16 other people that voted FUCKING POST.

I kind of like that idea, at least for this. I don't know how to select a "fair" panel, however, and I certainly don't like changing the rules halfway through.

Note: A panel/committee would need to be made of an odd number of people to accomplish anything.

Note 2: This would be a very bad change midway

Odd would certainly make more sense, but it was even last time.

Regardless, changing the system halfway through would be really bad, especially since it would be really hard to pick 8 people since I'm sure most of the people y ou would consider have already made their votes known.

I hereby challenge you Jeebus. To end this tie, we shall play Super Mario Bros. 3. The catch, OH THERE IS A CATCH. We both must play through the game with the Frog suit. First one to lose the suit concedes this battle. Well? Are you man enough!?

God damn, I still have nightmares about renting Top Gun as a kid, and not being able to get passed the first level because of that. Sad

Okay not literally nightmares, but still. It sucked.

Perhaps I should explain what the problem is here. It's not the tie. Ties piss me off, but I can handle them.

The problem is the appearance of unfairness. Dr. Jeebus has been using his personal friendship with inactive board members to garner votes, and it is creating the perception that because of that, nobody else can beat him because he'll simply garner up more votes. And it's pissing people off. And while it's not against the rules, it is unfair. And as of now, it will be against the rules.

The results of this match, however, have to stand. You can't change the rules and apply it backwards. Some have suggested a rematch, involving 2, 3, or 4 parties, and that is still being discussed with the relevant people. Douche has offered a concession, and while I'm loathe to accept it, if he's absolutely serious about it I will (as of this moment, he's told me he'd consider staying in). That should be fully resolved tonight, in any event.

I'm sorry if this is turning people off from the casual nature of the contest, but I do what I must. If anyone has any questions, complaints, or hand grenades, you know where to find me.

But for now, it's a tie, and this contest is closed

I don't understand why it's unfair. They're forum members even though they lurk, their votes still count. It's just good campaign strategy to target them.

It's unfair because Jeebus is the only one who can target them. The rest of us don't know who they are, and even if we did and managed to contact them, we're not friends with them, so they wouldn't vote for us.
