How many of you are excited over Brutal Legend? It is a heavy metal music inspired game designed by Tim Schafer who was behind such great games as Full Throttle and Grim Fandango. Brutal Legend looks amazing since it is all about heavy metal music in a setting that looks like something out of the Heavy Metal comics and movie.

I've been psyched about this since I saw the first trailer for it well over a year ago.

Of course Activision decided not to pick it up and this may be the only time I say this but here goes:
"Thank you EA."

Tim Schafer does excellent work, and the idea is even more appealing to me than for Psychonauts was.
Plus, with all the rock band and guitar hero out here, it has a good chance of becoming popular.

I loved Psychonauts but I feel this one has a better chance of catching on with the mainstream video game audience like you mentioned..

Considering how I own every other game designed by Tim Schafer (my favorite is DOTT, followed by Psychonauts), I'm buying this when it comes out. Apparently, the main character will be voiced by Jack Black, which could be pretty good. Then again, it could also suck. Heck, even if it does suck, as long as the game itself is good, I'll put up with it.

I'm excited about this game, but it looks too cartoony.

Wow, looks pretty awesome. Although Jack Black's little quips might get annoying after a while. Just like in Simpson's Hit & Run.
