So the ER series finale was on tonight. Being as nothing else was on, I figured I'd watch it. It was a good episode, but there was no sense of finality to it. No one leaves, the ER doesn't blow up, the ER doesn't close, nothing. Aside from some old cast members showing up and a two hour run time, it was pretty much just another episode of ER. And I get that that's the message, that the ER never stops, no matter what. But it also seems kind of like a cop out. It seemes like if NBC ever needs to fill a schedule hole that ER or an ER spin-off could suddenly get greenlit at any time.

And on a side note, Ernest Borgnine guest starred as the husband of a dying patient. He was great. I hope I'm as mentally and physically sound as he is when I'm 92 years old.

Me either. Generic doctor/lawyer/cop dramas don't do anything for me.

If there's a sci-fi element, like in Angel or Life on Mars, I'm definitely interested, though.

Sadly, shows like that don't seem to last. Life On Mars just got cancelled.

Anyone remember Tru Calling? That was a good show.

Wanted to watch Tru Calling, but since it was on Fridays, I never caught it. This time around though, I've been making sure I find ways to catch Dollhouse.

Sci Fi shows marathons of Tru Calling every so often. Like today.

I don't have sci-fi at home, I just have the basic HD package from Comcast - which still costs me $150/month when combined with internet service. Evil (I have two HD boxes, & one HD/DVR box in addition to the one standard box, so all of that runs up the bill.)

My parents have it at their place though, so I'll see if it's still on if I stop by there tonight for a little while.

Is it on Hulu?

Not sure if it's on Hulu. I have basic non-HD cable through Comcast and I get Sci-Fi. How many channels do you get for $150 a month? Sounds like a rip-off.

Ratings apparently topped Murder She Wrote way back in the day for this Series Finale.

WTF?! Damnit. Stupid Comcast.

It is indeed a ripoff. The weirdest thing is that since I switched to HD two months ago, I only get the History Channel on HD through On Demand, but I don't have the channel itself. Frickin' retarded.

I hate satellite, so I don't want to switch to that. Damn monopoly by Comcast in the Chicago area....

Finally signed up for Netflix over the weekend, and just added Tru Calling, Season 1 to my queue. It's near the bottom though, so we'll see how fast I can get to it. (Playing catchup from all the movies and tv shows I missed because of grad school).
