I just think that if they got the entire cast to be in this episode they'd make more use of them. Why not focus the entire episode on the TNG cast instead of using them for only a few scenes? The episode would have been much better if they did that and used the religion portion for a different episode. Or even better not use the religion part at all since it was not done well at all. I didn't mind their jokes on religion in earlier seasons but as Syd said this season they have gone a little too far with the religion bashing.

And for the last time, REPETITION ISN'T FUCKING FUNNY. Do we really need a minute long scene in every episode that's just the same bullshit over and over? Last week had Lois doing the fucking knee gag, this week it was Brian refusing to give Meg back the cross. That's not funny, that's LAZY FUCKING WRITING.
Three is a wonderful and useful number when it comes to comedy, but usually in terms of three times, not three fucking minutes.
EDIT: And they apparently shit on the TNG episode for the most part. I still haven't gotten around to watching it, but if it's as bad as I think, I'm going to start actively denouncing this fucking show... more than I do now.

Who wants to take bets that the next episode has a scene like this that lasts just as long:
It's as creative and funny as some of the supposed jokes on the show lately.
What do you mean? That video really starts to get interesting about seven minutes into it. I especially like what happens at 8:23!

I'm pretty sure Seth McFarlane isn't writing it or involved in it at any way at this point, however.
He was never involved. Everything was the work of...

The Futurama episode where the original cast of Star Trek is in it was probably the best episode of that series, that would be cool if the TNG one tops it.

Then you better get onto hulu.com to find out Ermac. The episode has already aired.

There's going to be spin off show centered around Cleavland?

Because it was not that funny of a joke. I didn't find it to be funny at all.

Saw the episode last night, it's not as bad as you guys all make it sound. Still, I think it was mis-advertised; they made a huge deal about TNG cast being in it even though it was the side story, they should have just advertised it on the merits of the main plot and the Star Trek angle would have been a pleasant surprise.

I saw it last night also and I'd have to concur. It's one of the Family Guy episodes I've enjoyed most since its return, even considering the TNG misuse.
