Oh. my. god.
I'm sure all of you know of the crappy live-action Super Mario Bros. movie. Well, I was looking around the movie's fansite and it turns out that recently, the original first draft of the screenplay has been discovered.
And you know what? IT'S BETTER AND MORE FAITHFUL TO THE GAMES than what we got.
I'm downloading it right now, but here's the gist of I've heard that's in there:
Toad, as a major character, who is a three-foot tall mushroom creature.
Three-foot Goombas, who are FAR MORE DANGEROUS than the big ones.
(For the fanatics!) The good wizard Woltan, and the evil wizard, Beedleman.
An action-packed fight sequence with the HAMMER BROTHERS...
Thwomps, Yoshis, Big Green Pipes and Chain Chomps!
The 'Raccoon' power-up from 'Super Mario Bros. 3'.'
A fully outfitted in overalls Super Mario Bros from the start of the movie.
Mustaches (well, facial hair) on each of the brothers.
Koopa Troopas, Piranha Plants, Bob-Ombs and more
For some strange reason they named the Princess "Hildy" here
