Is anybody else here looking forward to Inglorious Bastards? I saw the trailer when I saw Watchmen a few weeks ago and it looks pretty good. Just the idea of a Quentin Tarantino World War 2 movie on its own sounds awesome. Combining the over the top style of Quentin Tarantino with a World War 2 setting looks like a formula for a hell of a movie.

Damn, I am seriously out of the loop. Now that I know about it I am going to see it. I didn't know that was coming out either. I saw every Tarantino film so far in the theater, I don't see why I should stop now. I was disappointed with Death Proof though. He usually does a nod to seventies movies and on that one I really expected the group to be hit by a train or get in a fatal crash after they won. That was pretty much how every dramatic car race movie ended in the 70s, so I really don't know why he chose to give it a happy ending. Altogether I still loved Grindhouse though.

No. I love Tarantino, but I couldn't stand Pitt in the trailer. He seemed just awful.

If you have to start a new thread for this, then please at least get the title right. It's Inglourious Basterds. The misspellings are on purpose, probably to distinguish it from the correctly spelled 1978 Italian flick that inspired the movie. That or not only Tarantino, but also everybody around him is fucking dyslexic.

Ha, I didn't even know Tarantino was misspelling it.

Damn, August is too long to wait. With Wolverine and Star Trek coming out in early May, I want to go to all my must-see movies around then. I rarely go to the movies anymore, but this year is shaping up to be a good one. Three in the summer I have to go to already. (screw terminator, even if Bale is in it).

Yeah, this is a good year for movies. I'm especially stoked to finally get to see Inglourious Basterds and James Cameron's Avatar. Tarantino has been working on Basterds on and off for eight years now and there have been rumors about Cameron's new film for the last fourteen years or so. If Copolla had finally gotten his Megalopolis off the ground this really could have been the year of the long-awaited movies. I'm already more than content with what I'm getting now though.

This movie is going to be the shit! When I first heard about Brad Pitt and Tarantino teaming up I didn't think it mattered what the setting was, that's already a formula for a great movie! But the WW2 setting sure doesn't hurt.(but I also like most war movies, so...)

WTF Haley Barbour??! Don't you know your state is a fucking 3rd world country?

I've really been kicking myself lately for writing off Brad Pitt up until now. I figured he was just like every other "Hollywood's sexiest man" in that his reputation for being good-looking preceded what little acting talent he had. Then, I saw that he was in this movie, and gave him a chance. After seeing Fight Club and Ocean's Eleven, I've been trying to round out his catalogue, and see everything he's been in. The guy really steals the scenes he's in because he's strong without overdoing it (unlike Johnny Depp in the past few years). If you consider how well Tarantino can bring out great performances from unexpected forms (and my psychotic fandamonium for The Dirty Dozen), then I'm really looking forward to this movie.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.
