Yea. And she was killed off. It was a big deal in her set of comics or whatever.

So I guess that leaves either Mycah or somebody new. I'm hoping it's Mycah (and a decent explanation is given to how he got tied up into all this).

IIRC, Hana was killed and her consciousness downloaded into a computer or a satellite or something. And then she self-destructed to stop something from happening.
Anyway, it could still be her. They could say that her consciousness was able to jump into something else before the explosion.

Sadly, it's probably gonna be another Petrelli brother.
They haven't done anything with Maya, and other than a Maxim photospread, I am OK with that.
I was kinda pissed that Monday was a rerun.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas. |

Well, as 90% of everyone ever guessed, Rebel was Micah. I guess it's kind of refreshing to see him again. Maybe we'll get some plot closure elsewhere. Now that Tracy Strauss is (maybe?) dead, our next move is to probably see the next Niki/Tracy sister.
Also, sorry Syd, but Daphne's dead. However, they brought back Janice. Is there a reconcilliation between the Parkmans coming?
And fucking Hiro FINALLY got repowered.

Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on Tracy being susceptible to her own power. I mean hell, Iceman eventually learned how to phase through ice. Plus, I'm pretty sure that shard of her face blinked, so hopefully she's not dead dead.
Speaking of dead triplets, the first one's already dead (car wreck I believe), the 2nd died by fire, and the last one "died" from cryokinetic overload. No one's left but maybe their mom?

Seconded. As evidenced by Claire's mom, who could drain the oxygen from a room without being affected, the heroes' bodies are supposed to have adapted so that their own power won't kill themselves.

As far as we know, Claire's mother naturally has her prokinesis ability whereas the triplets were essentially created, so it's highly plausible that there was a mishap or something not quite covered on their experimentation. A minor detail, but a good continuity analysis however minor.

Thank GOD Hiro got repowered. Also what's up with Peter? Is he slowly regaining his power too? I mean, when he touched Angela, he should have gained her power and lost the flying? Right?
That is super weak that Daphne's dead. But at the same time, I like that the show isn't fatalistic, and the known future can and does change. I wholly reject fatalism.
An interview with the producers said there would be three character deaths in this half of the season and two of them would be permanent. It's pretty much a given that Ali Larter will come back. If she comes back as Barbara (Zimmerman?), it's unclear if that's being counted as the un-permanent death. They almost might try and pull the classic comic book out, where her body reconstitutes itself after it thaws.
All in all, I thought that was a great episode. Especially when Hiro held up Baby Parkman's hand and yelled "Yatta!".

Well when peter injected himself with the formula I guess since he had a power once he didn't get an all new one just a different form of his original power. Maybe people who have their power taken away still have the ability lying dormant in them and just need some way to reawaken it like peter with the formula and hiro with the baby. Though if they do get their abilities back they might be slightly different or weaker versions of their power because.....just because damn it

maybe peter can control whether he gains an ability or not. it didn't seem that way on the plane, but i thought i remember thinking there was some evidence of this in another episode

Well, tonight, Peter pretty much touched Angela repeatedly and didn't gain a goddamn thing. We might be back on track with Superman/Peter Petrelli here. Of course, with Sylar teaming up with Danko (WTF?) I smell yet another Peter/Sylar battle upcoming.
Angela mentioned a sister. Here we go, another Petrelli :lol
I kinda like what they did with Claire and Nathan. Who knows what the hell they're gonna do with Nathan. I'm kinda tired of seeing his self loathing, so watching him go balls out in a drinking game was fun, and watching Claire finish it kinda actually made me laugh out loud. Pity we didn't see Hiro this week, now that Hiro's getting his powers back we need more of him.

Sylar getting the shapeshifting power was gay. He's already too damn powerful.
I don't like the Sylar/Danko team up. When Sylar's dad insinuated he was a coward because he only went after weak prey, I assumed he was going to prove him wrong by hunting the hunters. Nope. Instead he proved he is a coward.
What's interesting though is that the bad future from S1's "Five Years Gone" is still largely possible.

I was thinking about that too.
I'm amazed that Danko is willing to work with him on this. I mean, all of the possible outcomes from their team up do NOT work in Danko's favor at all, as far as I'm concerned. I have to wonder why he would do that though. I'm sure he knows a good amount of what Sylar has done, who he's betrayed, and what he's willing to do in certain circumstances. Danko's fatal flaw of needing to succeed has become quite apparent through this cooperation.

And now it seems they haven't forgotten that episode.
I don't care how much it would've eased Angela's conscience, but you do NOT piss off a "weather witch."

There's only like two or three episodes left in the season. It feels like there should be more. The entire season has focused on subplots and pretty much ignored the main plot, which is stopping Danko.

Are you surprised? This show went off the rails months ago, came back for one or two decent episodes, and then went right back to being a waste of time. What a complete waste of an opportunity to give this show staying power. Everyone likes superheroes and cool CGI! Just make the goddamn show about good vs. evil or govt. vs. heroes and you'd be fine!
Who cares about Sylar's daddy/mommy/stepmommy issues?

The finale actually was pretty decent.
I really hope Sylar is done. I'm sick of him. At the very least, let's not bring him back in the next volume.

Agreed. I always appreciate the cathardic burning of villains myself.
I'd have to imagine that "Water Girl" is the third Zimmerman twin. Also, it doesn't seem that Nathan-2 is quite all there, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Fuck, I hate waiting.

The whole Nathan/Sylar thing has potential. There are a lot of directions they can go with it. The do the whole Sentry thing where Nathan literally is his own worst enemy. Or a Two-Face variant. Or a Clayface variant. Or the mentally disturbed version of Morph from the X-Men cartoon.
Also, I am 98% positive that that was supposed to be Tracy in the Volume 5 preview.

The Heroes Wiki community seems to think it's Tracy Strauss.
http://heroeswiki.com/Tracy#An_Invisible_Thread
And now I see why...

Noah comments on how Tracy had told him she had been building up a cold snap, and Danko approaches her with his gun and shoots her- shattering her frozen body. Tracy's body sinks and is collected through a drain, and her right eye blinks and sheds a tear. |
And if that's the case, then the third one is possibly still out there.

Aaron Williams' thoughts on the volume finale:
Okay, "Heroes," I'm not going to complain about the plot that kind of went everywhere and nowhere at once, how the characters seemed to have I.Q. drops when deciding what to do at key moments, and that the finale didn't really give us a "big idea" reason to tune in next season other than "it may get better." Nope, I'm here to take a hard look at Sylar's clothes.
This isn't much of a spoiler, but Sylar gets shapeshifting abilities. It worked for Mystique, though thankfully Sylar doesn't walk around effectively in the buff... or does he? See, when he changes, his clothes change with him. This would suggest that his outfit is actually his epidermis, which alters shape, hue, and texture to simulate cloth, leather, etc. However, he will often be seen donning items belonging to whoever he's mimicking (like a jacket and cufflinks), only to alter the whole ensemble later on when he shapeshifts again.
So I'm thinking somewhere along the way, he absorbed a power that gives him the mightiest digestive system in the world, allowing him to consume fiber on a massive scale. Or perhaps he got Matter-Eater Lad's powerset from somebody. Or they didn't think this one through when writing the scripts (and it's a minor nitpick, I know, but once I noticed it...). Personally, I think it would have been a good laugh to see him alter form and cough up a sock, but given how few times we saw the morphing CGI used, "Heroes" is probably pushing the FX budget as it is. So I'm hoping now that Bryan Fuller will help get things back on track for the next season, or at least give us a glimpse of "Future Hiro." I miss that guy.

I kinda dug it. I thought they wrote themselves into a corner with Sylar, but making him think he's Nathan (with shades of his former self) can be interesting.
Unless, of course, he touches something that used to belong to him and it all flashes back. Oops.
Seriously, they've shown us that "Nathan" still has Sylar's ability. Why not more than one? It's all over the second he masturbates.
