Dust accumulates really quickly in my house. More quickly than it does in normal places. I think part of the problem is that we don't have central temperature control. Heat is provided by a furnace and radiators, and in the summer time, we put air conditioners in the windows. So air isn't circulating.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I do dust. But I'm talking about a solution so that I can dust less often.

From what I know (that isn't much) and using logic, central temperature control and constant motion of air would help.

Maybe if you got a celing fan for some of the major rooms that will keep circulation going through the house better. They really dont cool the place down too much, but they would keep air moving thus letting less dust settle.

In my room, dust only seems to form in the most inconvenient place (the space behind my Xbox 360), so I feel your pain.

Stop shedding your dead skin particles. That will cut down on dust considerably.

Weekly skin peels will help in your situation.

I had the same problem here in the house. I bought a humidifier for other reasons and it's seemed to lower the dust content considerably in my bedroom.

That, or one of those air purifiers would probably help.

My house is 120 years old with 13-foot ceilings. You should see the dust in this place.

I have one since my wife is allergic to dust.

It really does help.

Also vacuuming regularly is important.

Open a window, buy a fan that turns side to side.

My friend keeps all his windows shut and his door shut to his room all the time and gets cobwebs in his room if he hasn't dusted that week... Neutral

I have a sig because I was told to. Now leave me be about it.

You know a word that's largely wasted? Oscillating. How many times is that actually used when not referring to a fan? Not damn near enough.

very underutilized. but it sounds awkward when trying to incorporate it into regular speech
