The place I work at sells gold toilets, so I see rappers like Master P all the time. Ok, I'm lying about all of that, but when I used to work at Office Depot, Head from Korn would come in occasionally. He was ok I guess, just sucks everyone's celebrity stories around here revolve around Korn,

I once saw Scott Bacula at a shop in Oxnard.

Lucky bastard! I LOVE Scott Bakula. I would love to meet him. The irony is, the theatre I worked at did a play with him in it like five months after I got fired...I was so sad. :/

Meh, John DeLancie's cooler IMO.

I do love John de L. He actually came back to the theatre a few years later because he was in town for Comic Con and wanted to see a play. I happened to be the one he bought the ticket from, and he totally recognized me and was like, "hey, you saved my ass on that play helping me learn my lines!"

So yes, he is totally awesome. I do love Scott B though.

Art Alexakis of Everclear is a really cool guy. I met him backstage when I interned for a radio station at one of those compilation concerts that go on every now and then, and we talked for a good 5 minutes about all kinds of stuff.

When I worked at a hoity toity Chinese restaurant in Sacramento, players from the Sacramento Kings would come in all the time, like Vlade Divac, Chris Webber (who came in once with his girlfriend at the time, Tyra Banks, who was a total bitch), and Predrag Stojakovic who was on fire at the time.

I also met John Woo when he had a pitch dinner at the restaurant while checking out Sacramento as a possible movie location.

I would trade a couple of these for Scott Bakula, haha, but ever since Hurricane Katrina, Louisiana's been kind of a hotbed of celebrity activity, and I have celebrity savvy and pop-culture nerd friends, so I've been privy to the following:

-Willie Nelson. He got arrested (or something) in New Iberia (about 15 minutes south of my house) and he was actually courteous enough to sign autographs as he walked out of the courthouse on his court date.

-Ali Landry and Mario Lopez. This was kind of a given, as I worked at Dillards at the time, and Ali's hometown is about 10 minutes northeast of here.

- Tommy Lee Jones. Word has it he ate at a particular restaurant in New Iberia every night while they were filming In The Electric Mist here, and it was my good fortune to have my sister eating at said restaurant just as he came in. Couldn't pass that shit up. Got a phone call from my sis, rushed on down, got him to sign a copy of Batman Forever lol.

- Philip Anselmo. New Orleans mainstay. But is kind of a jerk.

-Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie... almost. I was in New Orleans on a family vacation, literally arriving there about 12 hours after they'd left. Ah well.

-Ron Jeremy. His standup comedy sucks and it's outrageous that he actually charges to take pictures with him, but well, you can't pass an opportunity to pose with the Hedgehog. And... yeah, I paid $15 to take a picture with him. Sad.

If I were a bigger nerd, I'd move to Shreveport. It's 3 hours north of here, but it's starting to turn into Hollywood, Jr.

Not only is that not right, that's not even wrong. It's a meaningless statement. Saying something is "one molecule away" from plastic is like saying a farm is one letter away from a fart. Water is "one molecule away" from being explosive hydrogen gas.

NICE! Was this before or after the heroin?

Not me, but my Dad flies Texas politicians sometimes (he's a pilot.) He flew George W. Bush before he was president, Lady Bird Johnson, a few others.
And my mom actually worked for Mr. Harry Whittington, AKA the man that Dick Cheney shot in the face. We couldn't believe it when it happened, we were watching The Daily Show in disbelief. The next day at school, I got to tell everyone that I'd met and shook hands with the guy Dick Cheney shot in the face. I bet I could use that as a pickup line.

That guy from the Steelers, used to be quarterback wide reciever, kick returner, punter...can't remember his name, Billy Blanks and Kurt Angle. A guy who worked at the game store roomed with him at Clarion. Sadly his wife did not accompany him. Billy is an energetic spaz though.

Not huge celebrities, but we always get the Penn State coaches (Paterno, Dechellis,) stopping into restaurants I've worked at.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind.

This was not at a job but one time I was at a fancy restaurant in Keystone, Colorado and a couple tables away was the owner and head coach of the Colorado Avalanche.

A while back my dad did security and met Tommy Dreamer and Nunzio at a wrestling event. I had a chance to go but was sick. Oh how angry I was.

And Arnold Schwarzenegger. He said Arnold was kind of a dick. Huh.

I just thought of one when Douche mentioned Kurt Angle.

We waited outside after a RAW show here about 5 or so years ago to see who we could get to sign shit... and the only autograph and photo we got was with Rico. At least it was after the Billy and Chuck fiasco.
