Yeah, that one was truly disturbing.

Funny article though.

ROM hacks are for the most part stupid crap. The only one I've ever played that was cool was the Mario Adventure hack of SMB3 by Dark Daze I think. That one was a whole new game for all intents and purposes. Plus it was dementedly hard.

Yes, but videos like this one almost make it worth it:

The poor asshole lol.

And this one's pretty well known so I'm sure you've seen it, but it bears reposting:

EDIT: to avoid entirely being off the original topic...damn some of those ROM hackers are messed up. Although the Alice Cooper SMB is...rather stunning in its originality if nothing else lol. And Amish Brothers is fucking hilarious.

A lot of romhacks are shitty but some are good.

Notably a bunch of Mario World hacks that I like, including Mario Infinity, Brutal Mario and the VIP and Wall Mix series.

I've got a rom hack called the Legend of Luigi that is like that. The levels are beatable, if you have insane patience or god like skills. I'm still trying to beat the first castle. Bleating and Babbling Razz
