The 360 also has backwards compatibility.

PS3 suffers from shitty ethernet.

It doesn't matter if you are using the built in Wi-Fi or the Ethernet port on the PS3 the download speeds are terrible. It takes forever to download Updates or Demos.

I could get by with that, I am in no rush.

When I got my PS3 home, and wanted to play MGS4, it took over three hours from the time I turned on the system, until I got to acually play the game, due to the updates for both the Firmware and the game itself.

I don't like their official backwards compatibility list. It says the Morrowind works, but it didn't on mine. Then they suggested I get the latest update from Xbox live, since I don't game online I had to follow the instructions to burn an iso of the update. I followed the instructions TO THE LETTER and my box refused to read it. Then the ash tray error kicked in. I cannot stop repeating myself about how disappointing the 360 has turned out to be. Bleating and Babbling

Mine has been fine until recently. For the past few weeks its been freezing every so often when I play Fallout 3, and today it said the disc was unreadable and that I should wipe it off. When I took it out there was this huge fucking scratch on it. It worked after that but still, what the fuck. My friend says there's some website where Microsoft will send you a new game so I'll have to find that.

Was it a big, circular scratch that ran around the middle of the disc? If so, the exact same thing happened to my copy of GTA IV; I ended up having to get the game refurbished.

And my Halo 3. From my understanding, it happens when the 360 is sitting up and you move it when the disc is spinning. But I do no such thing. And I have a scratch.

I would like if Microsoft WOULD send me a new disc. Damage my game for no reason, I deserve a new one. Razz

My 360 is having a problem though. Every so often it freezes and I have to shut it off. But it is only on the home screen and I try to load something. Like a game or DVD. I turn it off, then back on and it is fine. :S

Yep, the same thing happened to my friend's copy of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance too. Today it almost didn't start. That is just the shittiest thing ever. I felt like throwing my controller into the TV and kicking the fucking console over the second time it gave me that bullshit about the disc being dirty. YOU DID THAT, THAT IS A FUCKING SCRATCH YOU MADE ASSHOLE, FUCKING THING SUCKS!

I suppose I'm lucky, my 360 has been fairly cooperative with me.

I've found that turning my 360 upside down and slapping the shit out of it like the naughty piece of electronics it is will about half the time force it to read the disc. I'm sure in the long run it's gonna fuck it up worse but for now it is satisfying to hit the damn thing.

I think the 360 is actually the hardcore gamer system of choice. I know a few people with PS3’s, but the price tag and game selection doesn’t warrant the extra 200 dollars for most to get one(yeah I know it has a BluRay player, but most people still prefer DVD). The Wii is more of the casual gamer system though some would disagree. I think the Wii is the most fun with other people but I don’t enjoy playing it alone. The PS2 just manages to stick around because it plays Guitar Hero and has a built in DVD player and a huge selection of games. I think the main reason Target has less 360 stuff is that their shopping demographic seems to be the upple middle class soccer moms who have young children that play the Wii the most and in turn, buy all the accessories for it.

Its the same with the DS at Target, parents buy tons of DS stuff there.
