Me, I'm a teacher and a solider. Which is not at all a bad thing (except my fucking education classes, but that's another story.)
However, if I weren't doing this, and if the math wasn't an impediment, I think I would be (or be studying to be) an astrophysicist right now. I love learning about the universe, the laws that hold it together and the way things interact. And the scope of the things we don't know frustrates and fascinates me to no end. If I could comprehend the math, I think that would have been my path of choice.
How about you guys, what's your alternate reality self doing right now?

I'll answer more completely in a different reply, but at this moment... English homework.

I'd probably be working a computer job of some kind. I got a certificate from a local community college and worked there as a computer lab assistant. They installed some new software on their computers that basically revert them to a pre-defined state. This would make it so it would reset itself when a system file got erased or people messed with the computers.
This basically got my hours cut back significantly and I had to find a new job. I've been working my grocery store job since December of 2004.

If I didn't have a family and a great job, I would be either a hitman or a professional wrestler. Maybe both.

If I wasn't in college for Comp Sci, I'd be in the army. It was either that or be homeless.
Also, yes, I desperately need a job.

I'm in college, I major digital media (which is essentially, design, 3D design, web design and a whole load of other design-related crap). If I wasn't there, I'd still be living with my parents, and on unemployment benefit.
I also need a job.

I would rather be traveling and seeing the world than working to pay the bills. If I'm lucky though I may be able to start getting out into the world this summer! I'm looking at the possibility of picking up and going to Japan for a few months to start seeing the world and what it has to offer to me.

If I wasn't a graphic artist, I would probably be a graphic artist. Seriously, that's about all I've got going for me.
Or a sniper for blackwater.

I'd probably have my philosophy degree by now, which means I'd be living in a tub, complaining to important people to stand out of my sunlight.

I often wonder what I would have done if computers didn't exist. I mean, if I were born during my parents generation I wouldn't have had the career path that I have chosen for myself.
So what would I have done?
1) I think I would have graduated college
2) I would have applied to work for Lego

I would be a mercenary, a soldier of fortune for sale to the highest bidder. Then after ten years of indiscriminately killing for money, I would suddenly develop a conscious and become the greatest anti-hero the world had ever known.

I'd either be a journalist/columnist, or probably just be stuck being a history or english teacher.
If I didn't care about consequences, I'd be playing poker for a living like an idiot.
I should just write a novel....

If I wasn't planning on going to college for Criminology, I'd probably go to college for Marine Biology, Some type of Engineering (Possibly Bioengineering, Aerospace Engineering, or NRPE), or Medical Science.

As of now, I'm a full-time mechanical engineering college student, sophomore level.
IN AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE: I'd be working out a lot more at the gym in my hometown and be working for money. I'd spend a lot more time hanging out with my friends, also.
College sucks, but hey; it opens up the doors for career opportunities.

In an alternate reality, I'd have a girlfriend, a car, get invited to all the parties...and probably be a yuppie, collar-popping, rap-loving asshole.
I'm happy where I'm at.

Alternate Chrisby would probably be a musician.
Real Chrisby has a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and is hoping to land a good job too.
