When I worked at a local toy store Todd Richards once came in and was filmed for an ESPN show and he was talking about Star Wars toys and how he was a big fan of the movies and figures.
The owner of the store also had friends that worked at a hotel in Keystone, Colorado and Billy Dee Williams was staying there one time. We told them to try to leave a message with him and told him to com by the store, he didn't though. Probably because we didn't have any Colt 45.
At the grocery store where I work Seth Green once came in back in 2004 on New Year's Eve. I had started working there like a week before.

I had to call up Jeff Hostetler once to tell him his Sony Vaio wasn't compatible to hook up with a TV. Turns out they had a update for the Vaio to fix the issue, although I hadn't been notified of it at the time...
I've had a friend deal with Mikey from the old Life cereal commercials. Supposedly, he's kind of a dick. I'm not really surprised.

When I worked at an autoparts stores years ago, I sold parts to former Trailblazer Kevin Duckworth as well as Art Alexakis (The lead singer of Everclear.). That's about it.

downtown phoenix, you almost always see Dan Majerle, former basketball player. used to play w/the Suns and Heat. he has a restaurant/sports bar and the food is ok, but you can almost always catch him walking downtown.

What is Art like? I like Everclear and he was on some family channel show as a guest appearance and then I wonder if he's financially stable if he's doing gigs for the family channel.

Well, I worked at a (live) theatre for several years, and we often had (usually B list) celebrities come in all the time, either as spectators or as actors in a show.
The unquestionable highlight of my life was when John de Lancie (Q from TNG) had a starring role in a new play. I've been a fan of his since I was like 7 and watched TNG with my dad, so I immediately talked to the stage manager and asked if there was anything I could do to help the play. Her response: "Actually, there's an actor who's having trouble learning his lines, and he needs a coach to go over them this week. His name is John de Lancie. Have you ever seen Star Trek?"
Cut to: Hawk having a mild heart attack, and eight days of getting to meet John de Lancie, read lines with him, and actually HELP him. (And as if that wasn't good enough, the play was the premier of what would become Arthur Miller's last play. Guess who was on site for a week to help with rehearsals? And guess who got her dog-eared "Complete Works of Arthur Miller" autographed? )
That was undoubtedly the best. The other highlight would have to be meeting Dan Castellaneta (he was in one of our shows.)
In my current job lol? Nothing. *siiiiiigh*

I worked for TSA, and celebrities tend to go through the airport. I never met any.
I have inspected the luggage of a few famous names. Jeff Garcia's luggage tested positive for explosives (not an uncommon thing for people who spend all day on a freshly fertilized field). The Gin Blossoms once checked their luggage through as well. And I also got the bags of Norman Mineta, then Secretary of Transportation. Who cares? Well, I worked at Norman Mineta International Airport, so it was kind of cool.
I heard a story of Bill Cosby one day dropping his pants at our security checkpoint. The biggest "star" I've heard about coming through, however: Air Bud. Yes, the dog. No, I didn't get to meet him.

Awesome story Hawk, I love Star Trek. I have this blooper reel video and there are a ton of clips of him on Voyager messing up his lines.

This wasn't at work, but Ben Stein was visiting my college back in '02, and I happened to go to the McDonalds near the local hotel. Stein walked in, and I talked to him a little bit. The people who talked to him next couldn't remember his name, so they called him Ben Stiller.

I've heard he's actually quite nice. How did he handle the folks mistaking his name?

The goalie for the Bruins was in the grocery store I work at just a couple weeks ago, I waited on his wife with him right there. Of course, I didn't recognize him, but some of my co-workers did and told me who he was later.

Let's see, Scotty Bowman, winner of a buttload of Stanley Cups coaching the Red Wings.
David Suzuki, host of The Nature of Things
Vicki Gabereau, Canadian television personality.
Bowman was the biggest thrill.

Bowman eh? What was he like? I've heard mixed reports on the kind of guy he is.
The others are cool, just not as exciting.

He seemed pretty nice. I think he is okay financially, since he was ordering parts for a 1954 Corvette he was restoring. Also, he has a job locally hosting a local radio show every Sunday night.

I've never worked at a place where celebrities, or anyone really, can pass through. My dad however...he's worked at The Chilliwack Golf and Country Club for...over 30 years now. He's a greenskeeper, and therefore a huge fan of Carl Spackler, Bill Murray's character in Caddy Shack. Now, imagine his surprise when he found out Bill Murray had come to the Golf Course for a round!
Imagine his anger when he found out that one of the younger guys turned him away because he didn't have reservations...

I am oblivious, so I never see anyone.
My wife and sister claim to have seen lots of people though.
My sister worked at the Sports Club LA in Boston, so she met tons of people. Leonardo DiCaprio, Gavin Rossdale, Ludacris and quite a few others.

Me and a friend of mine met these 4 girls at a bar one night who happened to be a part of the group Girlicious, who we never heard of at the time. They told us they were "artists", I Youtubed them the next day only to find that them being an artist was only a technicality.

Not too badly, just talked in an annoyed tone. They were still talking when I left the restaurant after I received my order.

Tim Thomas.
Former Red Sox pitcher and current NESN personality Dennis Eckersley used to live in nearby Lynnfield, and I'd see him all over the place. I believe he moved to Sudbury though.

A long time ago (maybe about 12 years now) I ate dinner with Walter Matthau. Most memorable experience of my life. Classy guy.
As for work? When I used to work at a domed skating rink around here about 6 years ago I would get hockey players in all the time, but that's about it.

Well recently, David Byrne from the Talking Heads came to eat dinner at the place I work, and after wards he walked by the kitchen and saluted and said "Great dinner, guys" and I pretty much shit myself, as I am a gigantic Talking Heads fan.
Sam Snead, the pro golfer grew up in my hometown, so I have met him and his son multiple times. Dave Thomas lived in the house that Pat Robertson owns now, right up the road by the airport from my place.
Funny story, a friend of mine saw Pat Robertson and his bodyguards at a local eatery, and he was driving this gigantic SUV with about 3 other SUV's following him, and my friend leaned out the window and screamed "Did GOD buy you that SUV!!" I'm surprised he wasn't tackled by his angels, I mean bodyguards.
