It's a decent pop-corn flick. And, definately a Hard R rating. There is some serious gore in that film that puts Rambo IV to shame. In fact, if you liked the last Rambo, then you like this movie. There is just a tiny amount of plot to set up alot of brutal killing.

Also, Ray Stevenson was a perfect choice to play Frank Castle.

I never read the Punisher comics, but I did really, really enjoy the first (modern)?movie. I thought Thomas Jane was awesome.

But like I said, nothing to compare it to. What did you think of that first one?

Thank god there is somebody else that liked that movie. My friends thought it was awful, but I thought it was awesome. In some ways it reminded me of Commando, just bloodier.

The Thomas Jane one was entertaining, but it was to commercialized. They were more worried about big names (Travolta & Romijn) and make it audience friendly, that it shied too far from the source material. Also, Punisher has always took place in New York, and the Mob is his main targets, as they are the one's that killed his family. Not some rich money launderer from Florida.

I liked the Thomas Jane version too. Hell I bought the shirt he wore in the movie.

It sure looks like it. Not the only one he wore I'm sure, but that's still as kickass as it gets. How much did that set you back, Jack?

It was $500 from Premier Props. And yes, there were many shirts used in the movie. I just wanted one that looked battle damaged, so I bought this one.

I think that was like 250 bucks if I remember correctly. I have had that for quite a few years now.
